Hi Susan, how are you? 😀 No I am quite sure you are not the only one. There's nothing wrong with sesame oil on chow mein. I do it sometimes, but the places I ate at I didn't taste any sesame oil.
@@WallyCooksEverything I really like your recipes. You make it feel like we’re in the kitchen together. My biggest challenge is picking the right, good quality ingredients like soy sauce etc. There are so many and some are not very good at all. Higher price doesn’t always mean higher quality.
@@susanscovill6817 aww thanks Susan 😃 You’re right there are quite a lot of soy sauce to pick from. If I any make a suggestion, Pearl River Bridge is a good choice. My parents used it and I believe many Chinese households use it too. I don’t think its expensive, not sure the price in Canada. But last time I saw back in NY it was close to $3 a bottle in a Chinese supermarket.
Hello and thank you for watching. So in Chinese stir fries we don’t sauté. Chinese stir fry noodles we use a wok and higher heat plus more oil. While sauté uses shallow pan and less oils. Hope that clarifies for you.
You explained the soy sauces perfectly for someone like myself who would have definitely made that mistake. 👌
Glad it was helpful!
I've been waiting for this video.... trying this tonight 🤤
Looks great

I have like 4-5 bags of dried yellow noodles that’s been in pantry too long, lol.

Do you live Thailand?
I saw Thai alphabet on shelves.
Yes I do. Been here for the past 10 or so years 🙏
msg is delicious, and not inherently unhealthy. It shouldn't need a disclaimer
You are so right Ryan 👍
Hey Wally... another great vid. I'll call it Wally Bro Mein....
How's it going Jimbort? Thanks! Yankees are off to a good start ⚾️
Good video but chow mein should be sauted...unless you are making lo mein. This type of cooking is call lo mein.
