There is no doubt that the Russian army's proximity to NATO's doorstep is solely due to NATO's expansion, rather than any expansion on Russia's part. It is an irrefutable and objective fact that NATO has indeed moved closer to Russia and not the other way around.

NATO didn't move. Other countries joined NATO. Unlike Russia, NATO doesn't have to take anything by force. Members join willingly. Why should NATO turn anyone away?
And that is precisely why there is conflict now. The Soviet states were stable once but now they all want to be in NATO. Why should they be allowed in - it is storing up more trouble with Russia in the future

I don’t really care about either country but you do realize that ukraine has Europe and America funding it as a proxy war and that Russia is using its old stock and mostly mercenaries to fight this war which means they are not at all using its best forces nor equipment for this war and ukraine is still struggling. As we saw, the second that foreign aid to ukraine is slowed down or stops, Ukraine ends up being pushed back

When Russian morale was strong in the beginning of the war, Putin held a minimal parade, for morale was high and the army strong.
Now it’s opposite, meaning, morale is low or he’s feigning weakness.
If you notice it is never Russias fault. It is like the kid who takes no responsibility in school, everyone else is at fault. His forces remember caused the worlds biggest traffic jam in 2022 which is why he does not have Kiev, his 10 day war is now nearly 3 years old. Who would you put your bets on a soviet army or a 21st century well armed NATO.
