Hi Adrian. My ego has a question for you 🙏🏻 The more I practice self inquiery and the more I 'witness the witness', the more time I can be in that gap between thoughts. However, all I can experience is void. Like looking at a black screen. No thought and no negative emotions, just 'blank'. Is that it? Where's the bliss Advaita teachers talk about? Where's Sat-chit-ananda? Am I doing something wrong? 🤷🏻
Hi Juan, I don't think this question comes from you ego. It comes from consciousness. The wish to understand the truth is coming from truth. It is our own game of hide and seek with ourselves. If it would come from the ego, you'd have an unique "suicidal" ego! Regarding your question... this is a common problem many seekers experience. Your self-enquiry is only getting you to the edge or end of your mind, which is this blank state. You can ask yourself: "Who is aware of this blank state?" To fully understand and also experience the fullness of yourself, the peace and bliss (happiness) of Satchitananda, it is usually helpful to do this exploration, this self enquiry together with a living, so called, teacher. Which in my understanding is simply a 'spiritual' friend that can guide you into this experience. The real teacher doesn't see herself or himself as a teacher. 🙏🏻
