All anime openings are a minute and half long cuts of songs, so you should check out the full versions (don't have to be in reactions). Especially the Parasyte opening, it is called "Let Me Hear" by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Shangri-La is so fucking fun, even for a small animation studio, the anime looks really good. The story is clearly made by someone that really knows how games work and use a lot of gaming tropes that mix really well with the feeling of being inside the anime, and man, I'd love to play the game too lmao. I really recommend you to give it a try. Quick synopsis: Hizutome is a student that love to play shit VR games, in this case, these VR games are the kind of games that make you enter fully into the game, you lay down and get transported into it. Although Hizutome always plays the worst games, he gets recommended to play Shangri-La Frontier Online, "the best VRMMORPG ever made", an expansive world with an ever-evolving story that unfolds as the players make progress. Hizutome will learn why SFO is "The Best Game ever" as he progress using all his skills learned from the most horrible games ever made.
Dororo is one of the 1st animes of all time the OG one came out it 1969. The one you seen the opening for is the 2019 remake and one of my favorite animes of all time and the opening is my favorite anime opening.
EDIT: the replies on this comment now contain a full spoilers discussion, up through season 2. proceed with caution! oh, Vinland Saga is a Must. Watch. it's seriously so good... do something nice for yourself and watch Vinland Saga.
@@deenman23 I mean... that was always the point from the beginning. your fault for not seeing the warning signs when the anime put that much emphasis on Thors saying that line in the second episode of the show. what, did you think that was never gonna be important again? that's the thesis statement of the entire story. I will say, I think some folks online have taken it in a really dippy way... mostly because it's been wrung through several layers of memes, which was never the intended application. this was a line, said by an experienced fighter, to his six year old child, in a desperate attempt to convey something really complicated that he knew from experience, in a way that his kid could understand. Thors says "you have no enemies" despite us knowing his history at that point, and despite what he's being called away to do, at that very moment. and it's because, during his time fighting, Thors learned that he didn't want to, and he learned that a life like that sticks to you anyway. he couldn't lay violence down, not even to raise fragile children, and eventually it killed him, as he knew it would. how could he possibly convey what he knew to a six year old? the tragedy of Vinland Saga is that Thors couldn't do it. and so, Thorfinn goes through the events of the first season, and learns the hard way. he becomes a warrior, like his father before him, and learns the kind of miserable life that results, when you make an enemy of everyone you meet. and the first season also tackles things like the cycle of abuse... Askeladd was so angry with his father Olaf for the abuses he put Lydia through, that he killed the man. and then he grows up to so exactly resemble his father when it comes to his relationship to Thorfinn. there's a lot of implicit self hatred here, but you can see exactly how Askeladd is ruining Thorfinn as well, so you kind of understand why he's incapable of escaping this role. it's just this horrible ladder of learned cruelty, which prevents these people from ever obtaining the things they actually really want. not if they intend to live and see their goals to fruition. that's always been the point. season 2 is simply an expansion of everything that season 1 already was. folks with media literacy skills knew from the beginning.
@@IDKLOL-qj7sl the show was from the start very grounded in reality, its fine for him to decide hes anti war and killing, but theres a big difference from killing innocent villagers to killing someone in self defence or to protect others, him standing there getting beat to death is braindead writing
@@deenman23 yeah, but you also have to look past the actions taken, and see what the story is trying to say. Thorfinn vowing never to use violence again is naive... that's why he's forced to use it again against Snake. and even then, Thorfinn doesn't get what he wanted. Gardar still dies. Arnheid still dies. using violence or not using violence might not have even mattered in a situation like that. but also... if Thorfinn wasn't there, violence wouldn't have been an option anyway. Arnheid is pregnant and doesn't know the first thing about combat, and Sverkel literally can't stand up. what was the method for them, on their own? in general, Thorfinn is thinking about the prevention of situations that desperate. Thorfinn chooses to take 100 hits because he knows a method by which he can let those blows land without actually absorbing the full brunt of the damage. and that actually can be done... there are ways of taking glancing hits, so that your ability to stay standing outpaces your opponent's stamina. they even mention in the show that that's what Thorfinn is doing, and it's actually a big deal when his concentration is broken, and the other guy lands a hit, head on. but this is also something that he uniquely knows how to do. the point of the finale of season 2 is that deescalation is a constantly moving target. no singular method will ever be a one-size-fits-all solution to every point of friction between people. Thorfinn tried to choose the right method for the situation he found himself in. he knows Canute. he knows his own skills. he is uniquely qualified to try something here. he can't guarantee that he'll be able to do this, but this is his best attempt. a different situation would require some new innovation entirely. the point is not what was done, but the mindset with which it was done. Thorfinn has become the kind of man who thinks it's valuable to put in the effort of pursuing a different solution. the fact that Thorfinn doesn't really want to fight back against the guy giving the 100 hits actually reminds me of the way Thors dealt with Askeladd's crew in the very beginning of the show. past a certain point, Thors knew those men wanted to kill him. but he also knows the type of men that they are, in general. he was one of those types of men, at one point. Thors was a warrior, surrounded by the culture of violence, wherein clout was awarded for violent acts, and shame was cast upon anyone who backed down. Thors knows how hard it is to divert a man from the goals of that culture because he was a part of it before. and so, he can hardly blame Askeladd's men for falling into it... especially against a guy they just met, and have no reason to care about at all. Thors also knows that he himself was able to get out. at some point, he developed a reason to want to leave, and he's regretted the way that that life will never let him go. he has no idea if any of these men might carry the ingredients for progress within themselves. if you think about it, Atli did. when his brother Torgrim lost his mind, Atli left to go take care of him. they got out. and at the beginning, I could not have picked him out of the lineup of men under Askeladd's command, and said that he'd be the one to do it. Thors couldn't count any of them out. not without admitting that he himself doesn't particularly deserve to outrun his past. and that brings us up to this moment, with Thorfinn, and this man who has agreed to punch him 100 times. Thorfinn agrees, because 100 punches on him doesn't kill. nobody else has to die if he can do this. and the fact that he considers it valuable to strategize around the deaths of not only his people, but the other side as well, is the point.

Love this series
It took me by surprise
It sounds like the Rage Quit guy (Michael Jones) using his experience of beating the worst games ever to succeed in good games in the weirdest ways.
Dragon Ball is iconic and definitely should be watched.
