William Somerset Maugham’s “The Kite” is a psychological story which is based on a psychological theory; “Oedipus Complex”. The theory, “Oedipus Complex” was introduced by Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) in his book “The Interpretation of Dreams” (1899).
