the preceding line is crucial here - "Every sin is an attempt to fly from emptiness." Humbly suggesting one follows the other as written for its full impact. And ties in with the earlier descriptions of 'attention.' A powerful piece SJ has provided for our contemplation here. Bowing deeply.

En when "the wrong direction" is beamed with & soaked in ignorance, the more sinfull the sin manifests. 😔

    • @timdavis2220
      @timdavis2220 2 роки тому +11

@@maryseokley6061 The word "sin" certainly has become a loaded term - and is commonly misused these days. The original meaning is, "to miss the mark." In this context, with this definition - sin is not an egregious action but simply a mistaken action that can be corrected when one sees the truth. If I believe I am separate from God, I am living in origin -al sin. But perhaps I am not understanding your comment here

Compassion, directed towards oneself - is true humility 🙏
Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions. Reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
Do not allow yourself to be imprisoned by any affection. Keep your solitude.. The day, if it ever comes, when you are given true affection, there will be no opposition between interior solitude and friendship. Quite the reverse - it is even by this infallible sign, that you will recognize it.

This 'Grace' is not made by thought, or memories..which ' being grateful, being elegant and being kind' all is.
It is not an urge or whish.
It is not a continues sense and cannot stay if you like.
I would say; Grace is the fullness of unconditional Love, taking over the 'me' up to it's last particle, including what I see..and feel.
But hey, words are just images, who cannot express the Real.
Not in your language and not in mine. :-)
      Enjoy!

But my skills with tech is non existent 😵🙏

Thank you for another wonderful gift from the Christian mystics, Samaneri! I’m wondering if you’ve ever read any of the work of Thomas Keating? It might be a good candidate for one of your videos, if you ever have the time or interest. Thank you for all you do! ❤️🙏🏻

Our heroine became a voice when she gingerly entered an encampment, but pure "either accidently or predications." She professed God Himself by trying to tame these hedgemen who saw no other way out by to strike at you and analyzing your be fore's. What it cost was a few clones & a young friends vanity....War is not nice...Pravin Banker Assocs. v. Banco Popular del Peru, 165 B.R. 379, 1994 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 2003
