I'm defo gonna get one of these, perfect little head torch and I'm pretty much sold on Fenix now, they seem to make the best torches, got a few from them. For me 800lm is the minimum level I want, 400lm is manageable but obviously 1200lm is a Brucey Bonus - and 4 hrs at 1200lm!!! love the charging method, makes sense as you'll probably have 2 batteries, one using and one charging and with a 4 hr run time you could run continuously with 2 batteries and a decent power bank to charge from. Never want a swivel up feature - just turn it off and save ya battery! I wish more would state their run times online, Fenix always make it very clear what the runtime is for each brightness level, just been looking at olight and led lenser on Amazon/their websites and it's clearly a secret with them! Thanks Dave - Mike
That is possible, just keep in mind that due to losses from both the power bank and then battery charging circuits you would only be able to really use maybe 70-75% of the power bank's capacity. So a 20000 mAh power bank would give you just a bit more than 4 batteries worth of power. Or if the batteries/power bank are colder it could get even worse. This means you will probably carry a bit more size and weight around versus just carrying more pre-charged batteries. Which may or may not matter to you.
Hey Dave, looks pretty decent.. Fenix definitely are one of the better lights out there.. The weight, runtimes and output all look good and it will be well made..... best wishes Tom
@TOMHEANEY100 cheers Tom. They are not shy of putting some good throw too. I really like the look of the Hm75r for some serious power and battery. I am enjoying the Nitecore NU 27, but unfortunately light weight means not great endurance. Thanks for commenting Tom- not too long for you then!
The Fenix looks like a not bad back up head torch, well worth a look at. You had better watch the cops don't catch you wandering about at night in the woods with those night vision goggles😅 .
thank you for 6 month review. looking to get this one.
@kristaps2010 its a great nut light, my friend.
Walking around the woods at night is so peaceful. It's really nice during a full moon you don't even need a light sometimes.
@@gordonneverdies Glad you get that.
