Tbh Disney didn’t do the boy meets world reeboot justice anyways. Girl meets world was still good but it was TOO PG in my opinion and didn’t really deal with normal and real things like boy meets world did. It was like they were living a fairytale. Boy meets world went through everything, and eventually went to them getting married themselves, going to college, transitioning to those experiences. It’s like full house, the original was great and so genuine, the reboot felt over eccentric and manufactured, still cute, but not as genuine as the original. There’s a reason both shows didn’t outlive the originals.
That's exactly what I thought after watching both.
It was a good show but Disney held it back. If it was on another channel, they would’ve been able to make it so much better. The show seemed like it wanted to deal with more serious/adult topics, but Disney stopped that

I agree!! I love boy meets world and girl meets world, but when I watch it now boy meets world is way better I literally only watch gmw for Sabrina, and all the old actors coming back and seeing their lives carry on like Shawn and everyone else making appearances
Her energy is so real. No artifice in her demeanor. I admire Rowan's intelligence and the remarkably aware ways she has so eloquently articulated herself in the past. Seeing this mature Rowan without all of the limiting Disney glitter but with some complexity and depth is quite intriguing. I will be following the evolution of her career for years to come. 💫

I was tired of them focusing on who's going to be with Lucas when that could've been a side plot instead of what felt to be the main. It was annoying. I wanted Riley and Maya to go through some rough shut or societal challenges. I feel like they could've gone deeper and it could've shaped Riley's character. It felt like they had 5th grade problems in 7th grade. I was hoping for more
I feel like that should have been a three episode plot and be done with it instead of dragging it out for two seasons if they really insist on doing a love triangle.

@@SmileyTrenton no character in that show was written right…tbh there was a lot of things wrong not just with Riley’s character but with many others like Lucas, Corey, Josh, and Topanga’s characters….the show wasn’t written well at all saying all that none of it should be taken out on the actors…they did their jobs and that’s it….it’s not their fault the show wasn’t the best……and just in case you ask about the issues with it: ableism; lack of diversity(when there was “diversity” it was done in wrong ways); toxic friendships (co-dependence); grooming(this was especially harmful considering the way maya and josh interacted and how it showed “this is totally okay if a boy in college acts this way” he played along with her action because he liked it and that isn’t a good example to young girls); completely ruining the BMW storyline with Shawn and Angila (getting rid of a interracial relationship ESPECIALLY when it was the most healthy one out of all of them isn’t the best idea); a lot of the things they did in the show added nothing to the plot; character development was terrible when it happened and when maya started to develop they blames it on her trying to be Riley…the show was a mess and really shouldn’t have went passed the second season

Some of you are Saying that she is disrespectful and changed a lot but ya'll are not looking at the bigger picture here i been watching a lot of these childhood actors for years because they been in my childhood since i was little and i grew up watching them and started to normalize growth and change people have to understand she moving on to better things and she doing stuff for herself and she focusing on her career doing what's best for herself people grow out of that faze and want to move on as they grow up but when you are on a show and it ends people move on with their life's and i love GMW it's just the love triangle between lucas,maya,riley its like they made her character selfish and made it seem like she wants lucas to herself and made it out to be like she didn't care about maya feelings and idk the whole thing was a bit werid to me and if i was her i whouldn't want a another season or anything like i just want to move on to something different in my life as well as growing out of that disney/whatever children network your on and move on to the big screen and also being called your actor name from a show you did years ago also annoys some actors as well they are only know because of their character and i can see why that's annoying off topic but i hope you guys can understand what she coming from

Exactlyy.. I miss girl meets world a lot.. but if I'm not mistaken.. Rowan didn't even wanted to be on Disney but she did the role because of the message and her character in the show.. which they lived up to.. the show had so many good lessons and advices.. and Riley.. um.. I don't know what went on in their head.. they always have to mess up with the main character.. Riley and Rowan are literally polar opposites but not in a way you would think.. cause Riley came out as selfish and I think controlling.. I honestly wasn't a fan of her at all.. but at the same time I absolutely love Rowan.. like from the start and still do.. if Riley would have at least took up some characteristics of Rowan.. her character development would have been much better.. but Rowan is still a sweethearttt.. I don't care how much she has changed.. Infact I'm happy for her for finally doing something she genuinely loves..

It’s so sad to think about because Ben and Danielle always reminisce of their fond memories from BMW but Sabrina, Rowan and the others will always consider GMW memories toxic which is unfortunate. Disney has evolved into this awful place that makes actors out to be something they’re not.

All y’all talking about her voice - a lot of people change their voices for a lot of characters they play. I do it, most of the time, without intent. It’s not that big a deal. There’s also no shame with moving on - let it go.
yeah exactly. Disney made Miley Cyrus speak in a more high pitched voice to make her sound more PG. I think that's what they did with Rowan.

There’s something to be said about keeping characters voices sounding mostly the same if your actor’s voice has changed - or slowly changing them over time. Not to mention higher, louder voices come off as having more energy and Disney doesn’t really do subdued characters.

She was so heavily bullied online by fans during her time on GMW. I wouldn't want to go back either. I don't know if that's why Rowan doesn't want to go back, but if it is, I think it's understandable. Regardless she doesn't owe anything to anyone.
@@thekaren1111 For sure. Being a golden girl of Hollywood is probably nice for a while but with it comes a lot of pressure I’m sure. You basically can’t make a single wrong move once they decide you’re a starlet.
And then once the show started and fans got all into the Lucaya thing and started bullying Rowan because they thought her character was annoying and were mad that it was like “standing in the way” of their favorite ship… I can’t imagine how difficult it was. From adults she’s expected to be this above reproach example to little girls. And from kids she’s made fun of online because of the events of a fictional tv show. It’s like there’s just no winning.

As someone who was obsessed with GMW as a teen, Rowan of today is completely different from the 11-year-old Rowan that played Riley. I can't even imagine this Rowan playing Riley Matthews. I do think it's sad how her and Sabrina aren't BFFs anymore. I'm glad Sabrina and Corey are still really close and still hang out together.

Rowan Blanchard is like this beautiful otherworldly person. Where I wish the show had a long running stance like it’s original show but I never knew about the terrible experience she underwent. That’s really sad.

I’d love if the cast just hangs out together one more time, not for the show or a reboot of the show or more episode of the show! I’d die if there’s a picture of all of the cast (Corey, Peyton, Ben, Danielle, August, Rowan, Sabrina) and it would make my day. I still respect your answer Rowan! Love you!!
Sabrina and Corey hang out often and when Danielle had her baby they met him and hung out with them
