    What an amazing product. If there would be a prize for the most innovative company (I'm sure there is), it has to go to you guys. Not just for Camelot, but also for the fantastic modeling of acoustic instruments. Much more logical than ever growing multisamples. Audio Modeling is the future. Just like 3D was the future for games instead of rendering, although 3D didn't look like much at the beginning, 20 years ago. You have already passed that point for miles. AM sounds at least as good as samples and it's fully controllable.

    Looks awesome. Is it possible to do the same thing, connecting 2 synths and change sounds on the iPad version?
    How do you connect it, usb hub?

    • @AudioModeling
      @AudioModeling  Рік тому +1

      Of course! You can connect multiple synths and MIDI devices (digital mixers, pedalboards, light show systems, and so on) to the iPad using a USB hub.
      Each device is seen by the iPad, and hence by Camelot, as a MIDI device, so you can assign its Input / Output ports for proper routing and control.
      The only requirement on iPad is that the device must be USB Class Compliant (kb.audiomodeling.com/en/c/grow-your-knowledge/d/what-does-usb-class-compliant-mean/ )

    This is amazing. Would this work with Korg Kronos? Also can Camelot split between 2 keyboards. So say I was playing piano on korg but wanted a smaller 25 keys keyboard to play horns. Or use the small keyboard for say sound effects ? Can a sample sound effect be loaded into Camelot. Say thunder for example. Long question. My apologizes. Wonderful invention. ❤️

      Hi Jerry, of course. You can do everything you described. To play "one shot" samples, anyway, I suggest to load a dedicated plugin. You can do with Camelot using the Timeline, but it's a bit tricky.

    • @AudioModeling
      @AudioModeling  2 роки тому

      Hi Gil, if you don't need AUv3 plugins, even an old basic iPad is enough.
      Of course, you can map buttons on your RD-88 to switch scenes, even if we recommend using a pedal, so your hands can play the keys with no interruption.
      You can control anything that is controllable via MIDI. So, if you know the MIDI mapping to a given fx or sound parameter, you can do it. Splits, transpositions and other MIDI transformers can be done easily! Note that to do that you must set the RD-88 to Local OFF.

      Ideally, you can control any MIDI App that can be connected to Camelot through Virtual MIDI Ports.
      GarageBand for iOS is a limited App MIDI-control-wise. It doesn’t allow the selection of MIDI input ports or MIDI channels, so it constantly listen to any MIDI port and any MIDI channels, you cannot separate the control from the actual playing.

    Hi, it's my very first year using camelot and I absolutely love it.
    A simple question. How do you fix the latency when loading next scene ? I use a MODX and Nord Electro and sometimes my iPad takes up to a second to go to next scene, which is too much for live purposes...

      hi @junksoap can you explain what happens in your setup? Do you mean scene or song loading? do you use plugings or only midi keyboards? Check also the audio card buffer size that influences the MIDI latency and set it 128 or less if you use midi only.

    Sorry for the comment, but Mainstage doesn't do the same things by spending less money?
    In addition you can map all the controls you want and have direct control with the software, or you can insert autio tracks to be used as a Playback Trak.
    Of course I will try it, especially because the possibility of using it with iPad is interesting ... but at the moment I don't find a real utility, perhaps because I am now used to using software instruments.
    Again, sorry for the controversial comment: D

      Massimiliano, thanks for your comment. Any constructive feedback is always welcome. MainStage is a great software, anyway it does not run on Windows, nor on iPad. What Camelot does for supported synths and other devices is to get the user patch-list directly from the machine and also control hardware settings, like Local control, transmit/receive channel. For a few hardware machine it is also capable to get part names, splits, key-ranges and volumes.
      Moreover you can attach music scores and annotations and scroll to a given section of the document while changing your sounds. Try it out for free: camelotpro.com/try-and-buy

      Contro:
      - Not for virtual instrument USE ONLY ... to slow to load the instruments (really, MainStage load ALL plugin at the open of concert, this can be a problem to the resources, but all instrument are immediately available ...)
      - There aren't possibility to route EF, the plugin scanned don't present any of Logic installed instruments (only the "external" software are detected) ... etc ...
      Pro:
      Perfect for HARDWARE
      Is VERY VERY beautiful that the software can read the patch names ... it's very cool.
      UI is user friendly, but not at 100%, some settings for layer or part of song could be put in the same panel or window ...
      Unfortunately I could not try the iPad version (it does not exist in the demo version), just to understand how it interfaces with the tools, or if it still needs the computer.

      A few notes:
      - plugins get loaded at each Song loading, but switch is IMMEDIATE at Scene switching. This is best compromise to not load ALL plugins needed for the whole concert. If you need fast switching you should create multiple Scenes in a Song
      - no one, except Apple software, can load Logic instruments: they are closed to 3rd party developers
      - effects plugin will be included in a few weeks
      - if you have Yamaha or Studiologic synth you can get Camelot at 40% discount

      Inoltre Camelot può leggere i nomi degli User Program direttamente dalla tastiera collegata, senza conoscere nulla di MIDI, cosa che non fa nessun software ad oggi.
