Rich was an amazing talent and a superb example of how to walk in the grace that God has extended to us through his son Jesus Christ. Thinking back on it, riches music was the first time I heard the message of Grace…
Jesus saved me in the summer of 1995, and I remember this song quite well from that amazing time in my life. Rich was a good example of how to live the Christian life. It was so sad when we lost him. But he is home with the Lord now, and he is happy. Thank you, Rich, for all you did while you were here.
We need to watch each other's backs. This world is getting dark but know the Son is going to shine and change things for the better... bright without warning. beautiful .
the words "am i my brothers keeper?" were uttered first by Cain after he killed Abel. rich is teaching us through song what Jesus thinks of that statement, Jesus taught that we are to care for our neighbor as ourselves.
Notice this is shot on a Navajo Indian Reservation. Rich Mullins didn't just say be your brother's keeper. He was actively doing it. We have no Christian Music artist today that will live the last years of their lives with Indians in obscurity. And exactly 1 of the major artists today would even consider it. That is Lecrae.
Don't kid yourself! Lecrae is all trash talk, no action! Rich Mullins actually put his money where his mouth was. He was pro-life and not only took part in rescues at abortion clinics, he raised money to help pregnant women and mothers and babies in need across the country. He chose to live in poverty himself so that he could build schools and clinics in Asia and South America, he sponsored impoverished, needy children around the world, he fought racism and injustice and he taught music to Native American children, and taught them about Jesus by example. Many CCM artists are doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but none have sacrificed as much as Rich did to follow Jesus and live out the Beatitudes!
Canyon de Chelly National Monument in AZ - I visited a few weeks ago - ua-cam.com/video/oDB9SToGv8s/v-deo.html - very beautiful location and a great song!

First saw this video in 1997 on Z Music TV. That was one of the greatest moments of my spiritual walk with the Lord. Will cherish those memories

There was always a simple spirit Rich had that's lacking today in CCM. :) Nothing too big or flashy, but the message is so deep...
mrm64 look around, there's some good stuff.
Wow! Saw this on Z Music TV 25 years ago...

this song is telling as not to condemned them in their weaknesses .
Awww that’s my nalis ❤
Love the lyric, unless your pointing to the truth. Rich did just that with his music.

Rich stays here. Bringing hope back to Native lands. Until the Red Wedding for me. Polis. Crabtree Klaus. Fauci. Stahl. And a goose.
