Catfish on the Madison chain has been incredible this year! Best year so far. Caught tons of 20+ pounders.
Nice fish!
Thats a nice channel catfish! I dont think i caught one bigger than 15, but all i usually use is night crawlers. Everyone tells me the bigger ones hit on gills or cut baits. I gotta try that.
Yeah, the bigger they get, the more they prefer live bait.
Yo, where do you live? Because on Thursday we will go fishing. At Marshall park
Probably going to the dells tomorrow. I live a few minutes away from Marshall park.
Saw this on Fishbrain!
I have also noticed worse fishing this year. They need to put limits on size and number kept in this lake. Multiple times at some of my spots I've seen 5-10 catfish just left to die on the banks by poachers. I think stuff like that is why the fishing hasn't been as good this year. I'd like to see where you can only keep them under 11lb with a bag limit of 3. A bag limit of 25 on these fish this size is just silly in my opinion. Anyways really cool video.
I do think they need to reduce the size limit and as for how hunting, you shouldn’t be able to leave them on the bank to rot. Your fish, you take care of it.
Can you catch bait in the tributaries of a body of water as long as there is no dam?
I think so as long as it’s connected and there’s no dam.
@@ancientfishing great. That'll make things easy
@@chefmeh6073 easiest place to lake bait is Tenney lagoon
