It was interesting watching you assemble the equipment. I like how you talk your way through the process and even let be known when you are concerned on location of parts and then adjust to fit.
My experience with spray booms is keep them low and spray out to prevent drift. This can be a big issue with herbicides that kill things you want protected.
I had something similar that I built back in the late 90’s that fit in the box/ bed of a Cushman Truckster. It also had two booms and a center section that you could select one, two or all three. It held considerably more liquids/chemicals (125gal) and I added a hose reel to wind up the spray gun hose.
As someone who was in the lawn care industry for 3 decades: ditch those black hose and upgrade to clear braided lines. Those will degrade quickly if this is used often and leak. Another tip, they have liquids available that help you “see” what you are spraying - for your big property that could be a godsend to getting the correct coverage without to much overlap or overspray. These don’t seem like high use units.
Pretty cool, I would cut out a piece of tarp though and hang it from the tailgate. A lot of the fertilizers and stuff you spraying there are incredibly corrosive and when there’s splashing on your bumper and the swing arms of your expensive ranger overtime that can be an issue, I’m sure You know that from the tractor world and fertilizer 15° but a lot of the stuff is toxic as well and you’re going to be using your YouTV with kids and eating your lunch off the tailgate, it would just be a good idea to keep a bit of a barrier back there just to keep the spray off of it.
Question, not about the sprayer though (I already have one) The bumper on your Ranger. Any issues with it hitting the muffler when tilting the bed? If not, which bumper do you have? I have a '22 Northstar Trail Boss, everyone says bumpers won't work on rear muffler equipped Rangers as they hit when the bed it tilted. Great video on the sprayer btw!
I was wondering about a UTV sprayer that had the boom and the spot wand on it. I think I would spray flat of maybe even invert the two end nozzles to move downward to avoid drift where I don't want it. Good video.
At the 12:30 mark, I used a 12 volt switch wire that fit into the 12 volt accessory plug on the dash of my UTV. The cable is plenty heavy enough and had the quick disconnect plug, and did not have to worry about getting to my battery. The on / off plug switch was purchased from Amazon. It’s good to hear you talk to yourself

what you mean "liquids available" for helping you see? can you link?
@@Oakwood1809I’m sure you’ve already found out but there is a dye you can add that allows you to see what you are spraying. Most are blue.
