I don’t think Pizzaface was serious about that. He could’ve done it while Peppino was traversing his tower… or without telling Peppino at all. I think his _real_ goal was sadistic pleasure. The threat alone made Peppino more of a nervous wreck tha he already was, and lured him to the Pizza Tower… where it was easier to watch and laugh at his desperate mixture of anger and anxiety. Theory: Fake Peppino was an initial attempt to sate that urge, and deemed a failure since it never expresses anger or anxiety.

the bosses are all in a way where when a new player plays against them its guaranteed for the music to amp up when they enter phase 2 its most evident with boss three (i sound like a nerd)

I know it's a year late, but I love how Pepperman is another expy of Wario. Sure, Peppino is a visual expy to Wario, but Pepperman shares more similarities to Wario both personality and ability wise (narcissistic and has a good skill at painting)
Once you memorize his movements during each each phase you will know what to do and you’ll be able to whoop him first try every time, and yes on my first play through he was hard as fuck to beat, it took me around 5 tries lol
