Yes, I agree. We come from a time where an insert was part of the set. No blue, red, green or black parallels. I started in 1975, and kept all my cards. The great thing is I kept every single card. Love them, learned from them, and enjoyed every one.
@@salvadorcamacho9151 Out of curiosity, how well preserved are the cards? I never bent nor scratched my cards but handled them a lot and it shows. And I still have them, but over the years have upgraded them when a new flea market box arrives with mint old cards - by old I mean 80s
I being the youngest of six, the only thing my older siblings wanted was the gum. I took very good care of my cards. In 1977 , I said to myself for every pack I buy, I will put one aside. Why would you need to grade anything you believe is under a three,or fours? The graders are laughing all the way to the bank. That yellowing is called aging, lol.
My brother from another mother! Cool to see what ungraded vintage you have that you might send for grading! A couple of sweet Hank Aaron's and a sweet Stan The Man hiding in there, among other glorious vintage gems! One nice thing about vintage cards is that there are collectors collecting and cherishing them at every condition level! If you decide to move some of your shiny cards and use the proceeds for vintage, that would be a cool journey to share with us! 😊👊
Vintage is something so special. Some people don't understand what it truly means to the hobby. That's a good idea, I might share the journey like skaght did

Very nice ungraded cards! I enjoy them as much, and most times more, than the slabbed. There's just something about look, feel, and smell of unslabbed vintage cards.
Sweet ungraded cards there me personally i never grade cards & i get why people do but depending on the company they can either give a higher or lower grade thanks for sharing

I bought a bunch of vintage cards during the pandemic for a buck or two cuz my LCS couldn't sell them since everybody wanted new overpriced cards. Now these same cards they want $20-40 for them. Glad I bought them when I did.
My Munson is rough as a cob. The T206 might get a 1 just because it is still intact and has both sides, I have seen worse get a grade instead of an AU. I like those '67 cards they all look good. Had a few in your stack I still need to pick up. That '65 Oliva, '62 Stan, and the '57 Minoso looks good enough to make the cut. When are you going to put those 1957 in a Binder?
Yeah im hoping the 206 gets a numerical grade. All good though if it doesn't. I need to decide if I want to send those as well. I have to buy a couple more binders for the 67 and other sets
Interesting that you said any T206 should be graded. I've heard that from several channels. So far, I have only sent in the HOF and ones I thought would get a 4 or better. I have about 150 that are not quite that quality and now you have me thinking about sending them in?? 🤔
@@MrFisherbike appreciate the input. Will not use PSA for my vintage. Love the tux, although the '71s sure do show ANY inperfection. 1st and only card I ever sent to PSA was the Munson and it got a 6. I disagreed, cracked and sent to SGC... and it got a 6. Ha! Looked better in the PSA slab.
