Thanks for creating this video. Really helped me get into the inaccessible RAM slots for my Inspron 3470
I try...wish I could redo this video...I have better equipment now.
Very well done, I like how you give good instructions in perfect ENGLISH!
Thanks....I couldn't tell which screws to undo...very informative.
Helped a lot. Thanks.
Thanks...pretty easy to follow.
Very good...thank you!
Thx...easy to follow.
Hi david kindly advice if we can put in the hdplex 400w fanless power supply to it?
I put 2 x 16G G.skill in mine, very easy, but it is only showing half of it because the second slot is disabled. How do you enable the second slot?
Is there any RAID option in BIOS? I need a RAID 1 setup for the OS and apps (boot drive) but its chipset (H370) is able to RAID only SATA drives (no M.2 SATA RAID support) so I wonder if I could give up DVDRW, connect two SATA SSD's and enable hardware RAID 1 in BIOS? Thanks anyway for the video!
Theres only 2 slots?
Can i use crosiar ram lf 8gb ram 2400mhz
Good job man....can you you put 9th gen in it?
Dat's great again!
It looked like there was a PCI Express slot to take a low profile Video card - can you advise if this is the case and also what rating power supply is in the machine? Dell say's 200W but I read one review stating it was actually a 240W unit. Can you confirm from the unit itself?
Hello, I will have to get back to you on the power supply...I am going to be out of town for a bit. Here is the card that people have been using: PNY NVIDIA GEFORCE GT1030 LOW PROFILE See this link: www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/12821929 You will note the above video card and gaming score of 24%...which is just on the verge of being decent.
*****So, I am not sure what your processor is...I think the I3-8100 TDP is 65W...and I believe the plain I7-8700 is 65W as well. For the past month, I have had a ZOTAC GTX 1050 TI OC edition plugged in via PCIE Ribbon extender...I have had no power supply issues. 1030 should suck up a lot less juice. Here is the video of that: ua-cam.com/video/XXYIY3Er4ag/v-deo.html I included benchmarks, I was able to get a gaming best score of 43%.
I have a bunch of videos out there of me upgrading (external GTX 1050TI, 16GB RAM, SSD SATA, M.2 SSD) and downgrading...I put in a 8th gen celeron and was able to do low-mid settings on 4k gaming...but without the card and at least 12GB of RAM, this processor was terrible for gaming, CAD, video editing, FX, 3D animations...etc.
Galax gt 1030,gigabyte gt 1030 or zotac gt 1030 will run if this cpu has 200 to 300 watt power supply

Hey David can we put in an hdplex 400w psu so that it could give us some extra room to install the gtx 1050 mini ????
Though they look thinner, I am not sure about the differences in connectors and or whether it will bolt up. I would love to see someone take that plunge as I have had a couple of people ask that. That would be at least another $100 investment but could be a game changer for this desktop. Unfortunately, I cannot advise on this one.

Yeston Radeon mini RX 550 GPU quedara en ese espacio reducido? Quiero mandarla a traer.
I only know of a GT 1030 that fits this computer. www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19067327
Bro i want psu plz help me
Is the motherboard size ATX? I want to know this because I am thinking of changing its case
Did you ever do this? I made a video recently showing all the issues one would have trying to put it in another case.
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 thanks alot, just watched the vid, cleared my issues
Is it possible to insert a video card GeForce GTX 750 Ti in this case?
It would have to match the dimensions of the GT 1030 I mention in another video. If they had left another inch between PCIE and PSU...there would be a lot more cards that would work.
спасибо за видео
Hey plzzz tell can I add graphic card like 1050ti or Rx 570
I have already shown this in a video...but just to summarize only way to get GTX 1050TI to work is thru PCIE ribbon extension cable. RX 570 requires 6 pin connector which this PSU does not have. Please look up at my pinned comment, that is probably the only card that will fit in the case. You may be able to use a ribbon cable to run GTX 750, GTX 1050, GTX 1050 TI, GTX 1650, RX 560, RX 460. The key is to buy one that is low power and does not require 6 or 8 pin gpu connector.
I saw this on Amazon and saw your review I want to know if I can replace the power supply with a 500 watt one and stick 4 more gigs of ram and a gtx 970
Personally, I am only familiar with ATX style power supplies. ATX will not fit. To use a better graphics card, I had to use a pcie ribbon extender. You are limited to LP GT 1030. Some if my other videos discuss this. RAM 2Slots up to 2x16GB
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 thanks for the reply is the one with the bigger case able to fit a gtx 970 and a 500 watt power supply?
You might want to look at Dell Vostro 3670..that is more like a mini tower and should fit your card. I can't afvise on PSU upgrade. A 1050 TI usually is compatible. ..I have used it in similar I5-8400 and I5-7400 desktops
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 I can change the psu cant i?
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 or what if I get this one and change the psu? www.microcenter.com/product/602899/aspire-desktop-computer
Does this pc have a standard motherboard ?
I would say Dell Proprietary with DELL logo. I would not be able to use any of my power supplies that I have that work with 7th/8th gen Intel MB's on this motherboard. No problems with trying out various types of DDR4 RAM on it. It works with at least 8th gen Celeron and I3-8100. I was tempted to plug in an I7-8700k. I will be changing out the hdd for an SSD soon. From what I have noticed, I don't believe one can have more than one hdd or ssd in this thing. No room for additional drive. Locations for extra SATA connections but have not located additional power connections. Not that you can get too many graphics card to fit, but there also is not pcie power.
Hey....please, a second hard drive can be installed?
I spent a little time looking for a connector to split off to 2 SATA and the power...didn't find anything. There is not an extra SATA connector on the MB. Plus, where would u put it? 2 x 3,5" would not fit. 2 x 2.5" would probably. May need another Dell PSU to pull it off...and go without CD drive.
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 Hi, I found an extra sata connector on MB. Only the power connector should be splitted. Also, there is space to add a second drive, ssd one close to existing 3,5 drive
Does it have inbuilt speakers??
If I don't plug in a monitor that has speakers or external speakers...I don't get any sound. Possibly the blip at startup is all.
hey man please reply can you install gt 1030 in this cpu
Yes and no...I have a video out there of me installing a GT 730. To do that, I had to remove the fan..but keep it plugged in. Benchmark overall was 1% better. The ideal card would be really thin..possibly heat sink only. Other options..remove power supply but keep eveything plugged in..and leave case open. Possibly a pcie ribbon cable extender..but card would be outside case. If u come across anything let me kniw.
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1all right dude thanks for the reply. I see what I can do.

Can we remove psu and motherboard of this prebuild pc
Thanks for the question. Almost sounds like you would be better off building your own ITX computer. :) Unlike the Dell 3670 that I bought and upgraded everything in it..including going from 8th gen to 9th gen. I only upgraded the HDD to SATA SSD 2.5", added RAM...did a couple of videos with a GTX 1050TI hooked up via external PCIE ribbon extender. I did get quite a few questions about different PSU's. The ones I looked at were expensive and it was unknown whether they would fit correctly. Sorry, I was not much of a help on this one.
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 ohk nice btw keep going one day you will grow for sure..and thanks
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I have bought quite a few different pieces of equipment since I did this video to improve the channel which really help with taking video inside of a computer case. A lot of those things would have made this video better.
Bro can i change its cabinet
I am thinking no...a lot of issues to stick this motherboard in a standard case. Another Dell case...that might be p;ossible
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 thank u bro 🙂
Slot M2?
Yes. The Vostro 3470 manual states that their is a M.2 SSD slot. The machine only supports SATA speeds. It does not do NVME.
Obrigadoooo! Hahaha
Does Dell 3470 support RAM upto 16GB ?
Do you mean 16gb total or 1 stick of 16gb RAM? Either way, the answer is yes. Max memory is supposed to be 32gb...max if 2x 16gb sticks.
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 Thanks !
Does a rx 570 fit and work well ?
The AMD RX 570 I have requires a pcie power supply cable...this 3470 power supply does not have 1. Otherwise I would have videos up about it. :)
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 can I buy that cable or do I have to change the power supply entirely?
Certain GT 1030's will fit without cable. 1050 1050 TI requires ribbon extender... $10 part on ebay. RX 460 and up would only work with a different power supply. Plus, I think this one is only 200 watts. I don't believe I gave ever seen a PS that has right cables and would fit. :(
David Noble another power supply ? such as ? i think i might have to get another power supply then
@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 Possibly another Dell one that is the same dimensions...but has the PCIE express...does it exist?
