it's incredibly impressive how you're able to modify resonance while maintaining a perfectly stable pitch 😳

This all feels literally impossible, I'm not even sure if I'm a vocal under-doer.
I hit a certain point and my voice just gives out.

sounds like if you're talking about pitch when you say your voice just gives out because mine does too, and it really depends because i believe that's my last aspect of voice is pitch. my issue is i can't do screams yells or even general projection without sounding like a man not because of resonance i have resonance high enough for what im working with but yeah pitch kills me because i want to get rid of this horrible bass

I haven't had any previous experience with resonance, only been doing the exercises from your vid for beginners so far
decided to give this a watch and while it's probably not a good starting point, i decided to try out the stuff in it regardless and OH MY GOD THE RESULTS!!
thank you so much for this resource, first time i managed to get a voice that i can confidently call feminine :>

When you're ready to move on to resonance, I found that this video of hers, really made me understand how resonance worked, and how to control it:

@@wand6792 No worries. I've been running through these videos today. I'm still very much a novice (stalling/procrastinating for way too long, but HRT appointment is looming, so I figured I should start working on it), so I'm not any kind of authority on the matter, but the way I viewed it, and how it seemed to start clicking for me, was:
"Voice Feminization For Absolute Beginners" video (talks about pitch and weight): ua-cam.com/video/BfCS01MkbIY/v-deo.html
"Hearing Vocal Resonance" video (talks about resonance):
      ua-cam.com/video/oWmj73Ttp4E/v-deo.html
"Is Your Voice Too Buzzy Or Too Hollow? video (combines what you learnt from the two previous videos with exercises):
      ua-cam.com/video/uVJuUoypVHE/v-deo.html
      Bonus for motivation:
"Creating A Voice In 60 Seconds" (fun little video that proves that, even when removing the human element, you can go from a masculine voice to a feminine voice through those above technical adjustments alone):
      ua-cam.com/video/RrFKytTNVwA/v-deo.html

Could you look into a video explaining the refinement process? I find I can get accurate thinness, pitch and resonance with avoiding falsetto and combine it but something always seems off. It's clear I just need to refine it but I'm not sure how to go about it because just doing the same thing over and over cant really do much.

how long, reasonably guessing a generic schedule like maybe 30 minutes a day, will it take to nail pitch down? i always thought resonance was so easy it didn't take long for me to train my voice back up higher for it because it's all i was focused on but my natural pitch is so low that is i raise it to a sound that is still a little low, but idk where my pitch would be left at but if i could just raise it at least a little bit that's would be better but i know there is a dangerous way to raise pitch i just never understand some of the ones ive seen online so any of your favorites would be great! thanks so much for your knowledge and for being willing to share so much content

  • @catStone92

I noticed how in the pitch graph you'd sometimes it would jump to the bottom a bit
when I tried raising m pitch with the tracker I noticed at some point if I kept trying to go up, the tracker would suddenly jump down and stay down.
Any idea what might be happening there?

    • @TransVoiceLessons

This is a common visual bug with pitch trackers. They work by trying to interpret what the fundamental pitch. Occasionally, it will think your fundamental pitch is actually a harmonic of an invisible lower fundamental. My pitch was indeed stationary but if it interprets you're pitch as a 2nd harmonic it will plot a fundamental at 1/2. If it thinks you're a 3rd harmonic it will plot a fundamental at 1/3. Harmonic magic!!

I dunno if this makes sense.. but every time When this kind of difference is asked about.. the attempt to explain on this topic, it seems to lean to assuming the person already understands Pitch, but not Resonance.
(I understand its more likely to happen that way.)
Rather then if people are understanding Resonance well already, but not getting Pitch.. I feel like I see a lot of people who see it this way. And not many mentions how to sort that.

i've reached a point with my voice where i feel the only way to fix it is to just resort to some kind of "vow of silence" since i somehow can't do anything correctly when practicing and my goals are completely unrealistic for someone like me. can't sound bad if i never make sound right?
