  • Knowing how to scale and adjust the texture of paper brushes, or any other texture brush, is a game changer. Adjusting the texture to suit the size of your canvas, or specific look you're going for is important in fine-tuning your artwork's finished results.

Could you please make a video explaining how you choose the colors for a composition? How do you make them match? Do you use color theory? Cuz sometimes when I’m coloring a drawing, the colors don’t look good together or the composition looks off.
I would really appreciate it if you could do a tutorial on it 🙂

That's a great suggestion, I'll definitely add it to my list of topics. I don't generally think of colour theory when creating, I go a lot on instinct and what looks good to me while i draw. I know that doesn't really help you for now! But you obviously do have some instinct given that you can tell when it's not working. My suggestion is to start with a dominating colour, I always start with a sepia brown which I use for my line work. To use colour theory - expand on that initial colour by using colours on the same side of the colour wheel. So I would choose mustard, orange, pink etc. and tones of that. Then for a pop of colour, choose a colour that sits on the opposite side of the wheel. In my case it would usually be mints, blues etc Using a wide variety of colours that sit all over the colour wheel can often be the cause of a drawing feeling "off". Once you've nailed a palette you like, use it EVERYTIME, so you can get use to it and then feel confident on expanding and tweaking it over time. Hope that helps!
