But I have studied, the persistence of vision :- when any image An object is formed on the retina. It stays for about 1/16th of a second.

With screen approx 2-3 inches from eye, it nearly disappears but not quite. Maybe I have Y axis not correct and/or moving screen too quick but it only fully disappears maybe 1/6th of attempts.
