I will always love these guys as I listened to them when I was a teen and they sparked my interest in guitar playing and music in general. However, to me there is nothing as amazing as these guys between 1997-2001 and the sound they had with dirk. Make Yourself and Morning View are my favorite cd's of all time.
So, over the years when I've personally talked to people about a band changing. Then people don't like stuff to change. Be it their own habits OR, for that matter, their favourite band. Band one fact people truly need to fix on when idolising and sometimes almost worships certains bands. Is the fact that these bands are made of people. Usually artists per say. And people change. MetallicA being one great example of how people want stuff (music in this case) to stay the same. Because of what they listen to changes, then maybe "you" they have to change as well. But it's a huge part of life to evolve personally. No true artist never want to make the same painting/piece of music twice. And so as they change, of course paintings change and the music changes as well. MetallicA fans know this straight up fact just about better than any music fan. The Black album was released, fans called it shit 'cause it had changed. They MetallicA releases LOAD, and everyone wants to listen to the black album, because LOAD has changed. It's called developing, expandtion, to broaden ones mind to open up for new and even more exciting things. And we need to not only learn that fact, but also to accept it. Imagine if Incubus released 12 albums, all called S.C.I.E.N.C.E. There would never be anything new to come for, there would be no positive change and an expanding world, and this place (earth) would basically, suck! So be happy the ones working, well for their own souls purpose, but also to give something to people to cut off from the world and relax to. And love the fact that life is forever changing, never capeable of delivering the two same pieces twice, even ones in life. It's called growing up and expanding. With that said i wanna leave you with a great advice; If you don't like what you are listening to, go make yourself! And Juila Chernysheva, consider cutting out the one eyed symbolism. Just an advice, if you want a world where there's a place for us all!
