This was one of my favorite skits of this show. I used to imitate the pharmacist when I was a goofy teenager! LMAO! Good memories.
The drugs R us pharmacist was one of my favorites too. I wonder whatever happened to Mark Blankfield, he was so funny.
@@jjbarile3640 ... He starred in the movie, Jekyll and Hyde, Together Again. I think he's guest starred in several TV shows in times past.
Funny me too
@@jjbarile3640 He's still around.
@@karmikmike2878 Loved Mark Blankfield!
I enjoyed this show way more than I ever did that show on saturdays.
This show was INSANE! Love it! Thanks for putting on here!
I was one of the few people that watched this show....everybody else in the neighborhood was outside smoking pot when this was on....
This was some hilarious shit back then and classic now. Thanks for sharing.
When he drank the "Pregnancy Test" liquid he sounded like a cat trying to cough up a hairball lol
Wow! - I just remembered why my HS yearbook quote was "I can handle it"!
Damn ...... Memories , as a young man in the drug fueled early 80's..... Me and my buddy getting stoned and running the line .." I can handle it, I can handle it !!!! ...... funny skit by a funny dude ....... to my boy "Cork".....RIP
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was (a teen.) Jesus, does anyone?" - Stephen King
I recall this one back in 1981. Makes me feel like I'm only 22 again.
I was 23! Funny show!
I was 18......far too short of a life for this show......the West Coast version of SNL.
@@kdm71291 Yeah, way too short. I liked it a lot better than SNL.
Now I've done it, I've tripled in size!!! Mark Blankfield is a freaking genius. The show kicked the crap out of SNL in the day!
It sure did
BLINKEN!!!!
Uhh...no.
this didn't age well. SNL has hundreds of sketches better than this
I will NEVER forget the first time I saw Mark do this character. We were losing our minds. lol
Fridays clips always bring back a lot of memories. It's hard to believe it was 30 years ago.
Hard to believe this comment was 13y ago
@@jaredm9149hard to believe it's been a year now... 😂
I watched EVERY Friday...this was a GREAT show and melanie chartoff was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Check out "Jeckyl and Hyde Together Again" 1982 film. Mark B is comic genius.
+Larry Abbott Agreed "Hi George...by George
Remember the movie...seen it when I was young...not able to find it anywhere.Gotta say it was a great piece of comedy.kudos to great memories for great films.the shit today is as bad as the music these assholes are listening to...get me a time machine.
Scream Factory TV has episodes.
"50 thousand for the dangling beauties"
fer sure, hilarious.
As a pharmacy undergraduate, this segment forever altered my life, and I'll leave it at that😮
I used to love Fridays, between Mark being the pharmacist and Michael playing soldier in the backyard,... They had me rolling on the floor.. LOL
he was blinkin from robin hood men in tights. loved his skits on this show, where he plays the hunch back monster. haha.
Humor at its best! I always preferred Fridays over SNL ... especially The Pharmacist!!!!
I used to watch this when it came out....this was one of my favorite skits....
My favorite line was from one of the others: "What luck! These are your pills!" "Uhh, sorry. All out."
Loved Fridays! This sketch was always so funny! Too bad it didn't last.
Fridays was my favorite show back then. It was better than SNL.
This is great. I used to stay up late and watch this show.
One of the FUNNIEST skits ever.
Mark Blankfield = Pure Comic Genius
Really? I don't think he has worked since.
@@TheKitchenerLeslie he was blinkin in mel brooks' robin hood men in tights haha
@@ryrythefryguy4645 Mel Brooks should have stopped after Young Frankenstein... nothing but garbage after that
@@TheKitchenerLeslie disagree. spaceballs and men in tights were great! i grew up with those movies.
@@ryrythefryguy4645 That's because we're on different vaccine schedules. Your generation got more than mine... that's why you're all so stupid. What year were you born, Corky?
I loved this show !!
I remember this being a lot funnier. I must have been baked.
This sketch and "The Scary Guy" are the two I remember first when I think of this show. I can't find that scary guy skit anywhere!
Mark Blankfield was hilarious in Robin Hood Men in Tights ... This is crazy XD
Mark Blankfield was a hoot as the pharmacist on Fridays!
..."Mr Arm is taking a Nap...I can handle It,I can handle It!!"...
Fridays was a much
better comedy skit show than SNL in the early 80's...imho!
I think the biker guy was Michael Richards that played Kramer from Seinfeld show
Ya think 😂😂😂
Duuuuuhhhhh!
Did you see his movie, Jekyll and Hyde together again? It's a must see! LOL!
I first became aware of Mark Blankfield when he played 6 zany roles in a pastiche called Bullshot Crummond, a broad spoof of the Bulldog Drummond movies, and Mark was one of the most gifted physical comedians I had ever seen.
There's a famous tale of a fellow who wanted to be Mark's replacement, and drove in from the East Bay, but was turned away because the traffic had made him 20 minutes late. Even Robin Williams wanted to do the physical comedy that Mark Blankfield was performing.
Mark and his wife Brandis Kemp, (known fraternally as Sally,) hit the big time with Fridays, an alternative late night comedy program in the SNL-mode that ABC offered up live from Los Angeles. Mark's strung-out pharmacist, always insisting, "I can handle it, I can handle it!" was a highlight, and it put Mark on the map.
He starred in Jekyll & Hyde: Together Again, an 80s spoof of Robert Louis Stevenson's tale (with influences suggestive of the days when cocaine was everywhere in Hollywood.)
Mark appeared as The Blind Guy in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and had a recurring role in a sitcom called Saved by the Bell.
When I discovered he had relocated to New Rochelle, we reconnected. One day, unexpectedly, I looked out the window to see his car parked on my lawn.
His former wife Brandis/Sally and he had long since separated, and Mark had married a nurse named Betsy. We received word that Sally had died in the early days of COVID. Shortly thereafter, Mark had a stroke that left him blind in one eye. And then, his wife Betsy passed from cancer.
The last time I saw Mark, with his son Josh, he was not really able to communicate verbally. But words aren't necessary with an old friend; You can still feel the love.
Today I picked up my union trade-paper, the Sag-azine, and discovered that Mark had passed some months back. It was reported to the union in March.
Mark Blankfield was one of the funniest guys I have ever known, and that is saying something. If you'd like to see a great clip from Fridays on UA-cam, punch up "The Chiropractor" with Mark and Michael Richards, and you will see some audacious physical comedy.
Mark Blankfield.
Sweet guy. Loyal friend. Brilliant comedian. -Don Stitt Aug 2024
I really loved this show ...........
Awesome show!
"Oh no Mr.Arm is taking a nap" 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I used to love this show.
Man, this kind of zany stuff is NEVER gonna be done again... such a shame...
this is the only skit I remember from the show
"Sex is a concept that interferes with fantasy" wow
Brad Penney . . . as is religion, a belief, which interferes with life...
Brad Penney WHOA! THAT'S DEEP!
. . . ones sex life is only faulterd by the lack ov imagination
man I loved this show
This was one of the funniest sketches 🤣
He sit
Drugs he hit
But most importantly
He can handle it
Fucking yes. 🤣🤣
The pharmacist reminds me of Howie Mandel!
He's much funnier than HM.
Often liked it better than SNL back in the day.
CVS on a Friday night, LOL!
Are there any full episodes of this available anywhere? I love this show. I used to sit by the wood-stove late on Friday nights and laugh my ass off. Wood wasn't the only thing burning.
Tubi app.
There are a few full episode elsewhere on You Tube.
Love it
@@bobohacker5037 thanks 😊
Would Love to see Cheri Oteri's SNL "Colette Riordan" join forces with Mark in a skit
noice!!! I was your 1,000th like. That was fun.
This was to me funnier than snl I was 16 in 1981(best of my life) m.r.would come out dressed like a mean hippie biker. And the rock groups was like midnight special guests,we only had 3/4 t.v. channels in Oklahoma city ....
Kramer got his start on this show.
Yes. Beach scene was hilarious
i thought that was him
So did Larry David
Wasn''t one of the shorter twins from this episode Kramer's friend Mickey?
@@brockjohnson4116yep
@brockjohnson4116 no, I thought that too but he would've been too young.
What a Great Cast. I’m going on 70. Michael Richards fan 👍🏻
They should remake this It beats Mad tv and SNL combined
Boy that brings back memory's. every time I see Richards on the Jerry re-runs I tell myself,
: damm Im going to look on yt and see if they have any Fridays? the pharmacist, dick, and
little Mr. was the funniest shit ever!
I can handle it . I can handle it!!!!
my dad would let us stay up to watch this show. I was 12 or 13 when it first aired.
I loved this guy🤣🤣
The guy who plays him was in music video for the band Triumph back in the 80's.
What song?
I watched this show every chance I got as a kid. But I do not ever remember this skit. But I do remember Michael Richards playing with toys and the Rasta Chef.
This dude is always stoned love it getting high on his own supplies
he was allways stoned on drugs so classic
Just take a pill!!!! who knew that it would end up this way in the world!
I love this guy!!!!!
Oh, how I miss this show....
some german guys doing similar today to markies kind of vision of entertainment.
i myself begun to be a soldier in a war at these times, and markie gives you laughing back after a day filled up with blood of our killed brothers, our brothers we normaly passes with greetz from our loving heart from human to human were our enemies....
yeah, mark b was on an episode of night court....he was on trial in Harry's court, and disappeared in a puff of smoke....all Harry wanted was how he did it
Michael Richards(Kramer) sighting at 4:30....
I would like to know what are the producers of this show found not only a little person but twins of little persons?? Great cast excellent writing and just so damn funny.
Keep off the stuff!
I can handle it!!!! lol
According to Wikipedia, he's a Special Education teacher in L.A.
When a Student, Poops, in "Arts and Crafts (including Farts and Craps, mostly"), he takes and makes #2 Pencil-shaped Candles, out of said Poo. (He can Candle Shit.) Wooden Shoe?
Michael Richards (Kramer) as the biker!
Yeo. I recognized his voice first.
He cleaned me out, he cleaned me out. I still have my dope! Ha,ha
Is that... cosmo?
The Rice twins are Miami legends
@WinGate Mose John and Greg Rice. They did real estate infomercials
I believe those twins tried to sell me real estate in the late 90’s.
still funny 35yrs later bet he took all the qualudes....
My wife is a pharmacist. She didn't find this as funny as I.
WOW, the resemblance of the pharmacist to Kenny G.
For some reason, I remember this being funnier back in the day. I'm guessing it was being 14 years old and stoned lol
It's not funny...great 'actors' just this is not playing to their strengths.
Fridays > Saturday Night Live. Wish the latter had ended while the former continued.
I can handle It!
I still quote that after all these years
one of the better characters.
Really thought until a google/wiki search this pharmacist also played a Sgt at Arms in S.O.A.
I think those twins were successful in in real estate.
Wait, was one of those little people Mickey from Seinfeld???
This is totally the basis for Jeckyll and Hyde Together Again.
I can handle it
GREAT!!! Comedy.
I couldn't handle it!!!!
I can handle it!!!
TAKE A PILL! IT'S SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE!
Kramer, from Seinfeld, so funny
I love jekyl and hyde together again.
TGIF 🙂
i have no need for Viagra😂
Yeah this skit is along the same lines of something that Monty Python would do. Clever sketch
This is a spam account. But who would pay someone to post comments on videos like this? Is Google inflating users like Twitter with bots?
Darrow....."...do we smoke it...?....ya ya yaaaa ya!!
I assume as the top search result this was the best sketch of the series? Grating.
That was Kramer, holy shittttt!!!!
What that curly hair guy on?
I remember those twins.
He died last March. RIP
