tbh... if feel like the more fakemon regions we get for a certain region, the less likely they will become real Pokemon regions made by Gamefreak, since then you cannot really be unique anymore in terms of design inspirations.
I think Hephaesteed looking weird is deliberate. I mean, its namesake was one of the only Greek gods who didn't have a physically flawless body.

Really like yours and am a little jealous. I do have a Greek region of my own but I loosely follow greek mythology and have a unique storyline that isn't part of Greek mythology but involves the creatures.

The video glossed over or missed a couple references to Greek mythology. I am not sure if this was done on purpose to keep the video shorter, but either way, I'm going to go through and reference the things I noticed.
1:02 I'm pretty sure Pandiadyr is supposed to be wearing the golden fleece on its back.
2:08 Delphidon is based on the Greek god of dolphins named Delphin, not Poseidon. Delphin is famous for being Poseidon's wingman when he goes after his wife, Amphitrite. As a thank you for helping him hook up, Posidon put a constellation of Delphin in the sky. That is probably why the creator of the fakemon called it "the adorned Pokemon.".
3:12 Astregal is based on the "Aetos Dios," commonly known as Zeus' eagle. The eagle was once a king named Periphas, who made Zeus angry for being too well-liked by his people. Obviously, Zeus smited the dude with thunder, but Apollo felt bad and rescued him by turning him into an eagle who would serve as Zeus' personal messenger from that point on.
5:11 Bacchelder is based on Dionysos, yes (more specifically, Bacchus, but same shit), but Dionysos isn't the god of agriculture. The reason Dionysos is often seen with grapes or wine in his hands is that he is the god of grapes and wine. He is also the god of parties, madness, and the wilderness.
6:20 Venuchique is based on Venus, more commonly known as Aphrodite. In the myth, she was born from the sea foam when it made contact with the castrated genitals of Ouranos (the literal sky). In classical art depictions of the myth, she appears on the surface after her birth on top of a giant shell; the most famous is "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birth_of_Venus). The famous shell is also present in the fakemon design.
6:28 Tideton is based on Triton, the son of Poseidon and Amphitrite. He is often depicted as a merman.
10:05 Yes, Veposian Machamp is based on Atlas, but it might also refer to Sisyphus and his burden (you all know the story).
10:26 Adoboar is based on the Erymanthian Boar, which was one of Herakles's labors. One of the defining characteristics of the Erymanthian boar is that it is "untameable," which is also its fakemon description.
10:45 Veposion Mudsdale is based on the Trojan Horse. The Falinks shields on its side are a hint that there are warriors hiding on the inside.
10:55 Haephasteed is most likely based on the Cabeiran Horses, automaton horses built by Hephaestus as gifts for his twin sons, the Cabeiri. The automatons would be able to help in the forges, hence the "craftsmanship pkmn" description.
13:34 Menterva is based on Minerva, which is just another name for Athena. But it is probably also based on Mentor, who is a prominent character in The Odyssey by Homer. In the story, Athena takes the form of Mentor, an old family friend, in order to guide and help Odysseus' young son Telemachus while Odysseus is away from home. Fun fact: the meaning of the word "mentor" nowadays comes from the name of this character in Homer's epic.
15:50 Heliodial is based on Helios, the personification of the sun. It also refers to a sundial, which can be used to tell the time from the position of the sun. Sundials weren't really an ancient Greek thing, but they were definitely around at that point in history.
22:55 Other than the Oneiroids, Somneiros is likely also based on Somnus, commonly known as Hypnos, the primordial personification of sleep.
23:22 Regilethe is based on the river Lethe, which runs through the underworld. It was said that anyone who drank from the river Lethe would forget everything they'd ever known. The spirit of the river was known as the "Spirit of Forgetfullness and Oblivion," hence the fakemon description.
25:35 The ferryman's name is Charon.
honestly the only note i have js that sissyphus wasnt factored in with the regional machamp. i had plans for something else more directly inspired by it. which i ultimately scrapped.

I did have to cut A LOT of my original filming because the video was ending up really long, and this is still my longest Fakemon video lol. I also did heaps of research into Greek mythology but I have to confess that I did not have a lot of knowledge about it to begin with, but I tried my best.

I think the fire starter (don’t remember the name) is based of the Colchis Bulls
And Orthermus 7:11 is based on Orthus, a two headed dog that guarded the Cattle of Geryon and was slain by Herakles

to be fair.. I kept count of the fully evolved mons in each type. which kinda averaged out on 10 to 11.. There's 9 fully evolved dragons. So.. yeah there are a lot, but there's more or the same amount of other types haha. (that said, there's also 204 pkmn in this dex i did)

For the grass starter the final evolution is also based on Pan, and for the grape snake, a snake helped Dionysus discover wine.
This fakemon region is really interesting and my favourite would be appladon it looks really cool 😊

Grass type starter always, and all Grass types, I’m a Grass type specialist. Wyvine is amazing, I would use one all the time.
Brasteerion also appears to be based off of the brass bull torture method, where they would heat up a metal bull statue with someone inside of the statue

The Kraken is in lots of mythologies. In Greek it can also be called Scylla which describes a giant Octopus

Brasteerion is based on the Bronze Bull. A legendary torture divice in which the victim would be placed inside the bronze statue of a bull and then cooked alive. Hence Brasteerion's flames. A weird inspiration for a starter pokemon.

The fire starter may also be based on a Brazen bull. Which would explain the steel type (other than the axe tail) and also the things on it's shoulder which make it look a bit like a furnace.
It's ironic that Lumitheus looks like an eagle made of fire. Remember what Zeus used to torture Prometheus for stealing fire? That's right, *an eagle.*

After checking the artist's Instagram to see the full Dex, if I had a team in this fanmade Vepos region, my team would be starter Delphidon (Water/Fighting), Sutasagi (Electric/Rock), Panofowl (Psychic/Dark), Venuchique (Fairy/Steel), Vlampyre (Fire/Flying), and Veposian Mudsdale (Ground/Grass).

The hydra actually isn’t a dragon, Ladon is but the hydra isn’t. The hydra was actually a man sized 9 headed swamp snake whom of course, 2 more heads took there place for each one cut off.

I wouldn't mind having Embork as my starter Pokémon.
There's a good few that i've done for this region and things unrelated to it that just feel to me like they could have been starters too. I can totally see Embork working as a starter too!
Grass and fire starters are like okay, then boom, the water starter is based on a god, again (Empoleon).
Still would pick grass though. The water starter is kind of over designed in a weird way.
