The punch-0ut did not work for me on the first sink. The whole corner broke off when we hit it with a punch. I actually had a conference call with the engineers at Kohler and we decided the diamond tipped hole saw was the safest method of making the hole.
Heard the same thing that they can break easy if not hit perfectly. Do you still like it or not? Wife wants one of these but not sure about it yet. Seen complaints that they are a pain to keep clean and if you scratch it they don’t come out.
@@roberternst8269 We actually gave this sink to my neighbor. It does show some discoloring over the years, just not due to putty. I would not recommend it.
@@roberternst8269 My neighbor is not one to clean the sink frequently, so that probably contributed to the staining over the years. Didn't see any stains from putty. I've had great luck with Kohler enameled cast iron sinks, which last for decades.
I thought you were going to demonstrate the entire install
Thank you
They're called punch-outs for a reason. Kohler gives instructions on how to do this with no masonry or power tools required.

@@stevelutzke9600 It's been good. No complaints
Did your sink have no way to use clips? Instructions says just use silicone. Does it not move around?
This sink has no clips. Does it really just silicone to the countertop?
I heard mounting the sink basin/basket if you use putty it can stain. What did you use when you installed the basket?
Used standard plumbers putty. No adverse impact.
@@bigredd110 so no need to worry about staining?

@@bigredd110 would not recommend the sink or using putty? Cause i already have the sink. Thanks for the quick responses
