This is brilliant. Watching stroke and dementia patients struggle to eat at the hospital makes me wish this was something that could be put in place for them.

I love finding out about business models like this. I learned so much working with disabled populations and having health issues myself and different populations and just food mode also and love seeing all businesses like this. It all matters.
This is wonderful advice. Many people do have issues with swallowing. My father had oral cancer a few years back. This would have been a lifesaver for him.

I get mine made by Wiltshire farm foods and after being treated for throught cancer and struggling. To swallow and losing weight due to not being able to get enough nutritional meals I think they are great and not too expensive an option

I have been having problems the past 5 months with swallowing food. Swallowing anything is difficult, but especially solid foods. It happened on my 21st birthday when this sickness started :(

Same here and 25 already. I really hope it gets better for all of us D: Other than that, I recommend browsing reddit for other people who suffer from it. Maybe you find some stuff to gte a better diagnosis or something.
Ladies - have you spoken to your doctor? Speech Language pathologists can often help with difficulties in swallowing - I hope you find a solution!

Brilliant but also sad ive heard its sad this is for people who have issues eating and that the companies that do this over charge those really need it that is quite sad if true
The problem I have is dad is refusing to eat more than two or three spoonful as he prefers the sweet supplement shakes so currently the waste cost is kept to a minimum but would skyrocket with these as most are £6 per meal.
What a novel idea,
are the stabilisers safe for the affected patients? they are already in a vulnerable position. wont more chemicals be harmful. I would rather judge the texture and make the food pureed than use stabilizers or whatever.

How would I get these meals
Is there any possibility that Tofu could be a part of this type condition?My 93 year old has not been diagnosed but his issues are very similiar as I understand it. He says he can't swallow because the food rolls on his tongue in a ball and has really hard time getting to go down. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. Chris P

I have to eat these type of food becuse I dont have teeth on my bottom jaw due to ameloblastoma.
My dad was in a nursing home and they fed him crap hamburgers hot dogs fries they didn't care about their elderly they gave them nothing but crap food but that's what you got in the United States

missj Stephens right i feel the same way. Just use your better judgement... mymother has dementia and is at this phase. I Asked the nurse, she said you can use normal cornflour to thicken. I would rather just judge the texture instead of using all the other foreign ingredients. besides the nurse said cornflour and t hickeners can cause weight gain.
@@jessiejames7492 Generally you can cook any food or meal that you like and put it in the blender; maybe have to add chicken broth, milk, beef broth, depending on food. Blend on "puree" until you get that whirlpool in the middle, reheat in microwave if necessary, and eat like soup. Delicious.

Yes you can You can buy different food molds online . From carrot broccoli to chicken breast & steak. all you do is purée ur food in the blender I use thick & easy powder to turn purée into a paste and put it in the molds . With veggies you have to freeze them for 2hours before serving then remove from mold µwave. They stay the same shape . The molds are a little expensive but their very durable I recommend the silicone ones.
