Oh wow. Kirk we all know. - a beast. Guy where you come from bro. ? These thumb players ( from completely different genres check Jim Mullen and Toy Caldwell ( Marshall Tucker)) make it a load harder for themselves but get a completely different feel and tone. It was a natural way for me to play too, but I am total crap. Off to find more Guy King.
@@zTrebster fair one, I think I prefer him with the Gibson, still sounds good here but thinner. I guess I'm biased though, as I only really play humbuckers and just really like that weight of tone.
I saw Guy King playing in a steak house. There is something wrong when a musician of his caliber has to play crap venues to make a living. The sense of what to play and not to play for these guys is amazing. No showing off, just great in the pocket playing.
Sorry, but these little clubs and bars aren't "crap venues". There's more to life than massive stadia. These so-called "crap venues" do a wonderful job of presenting non-mainstream, real music that isn't churned out by the bloody music biz. I'd rather hear this music in an intimate venue than a concert hall or an aircraft hanger.
Guy king is awesome, a great combo with Kirk! (thumbs up) give me blues blues and MORE blues!. ;) GREAT Jam!
If this don't put a smile on your face you are dead inside.
This makes me want to jam right now.

Are these their own guitars? I've never seen Kirk on an SG and Guy on single coils. Both sound great as ever.
Ben Fletcher guy used to play a tele all the time, but since he switched to gibson’s i haven’t seen him go back
