Cherie & Chris have been full time technomads since 2006. In the winter we explore land in our 1961 GM 4106 bus conversion. In the spring/summer we move aboard our 1999 Bayliner 4788 slowly exploring America's waterways along the Great Loop.
We share for fun in our spare time. Tips/contributions are never an expectation - but they sure keep us inspired. You can leave a tip at: www.technomadia.com/thanks
We love sharing a slice of our life with others at www.technomadia.com, Facebook and Instagram. We use the name 'Technomadia' in all those places. Come join the adventure however you choose!
We have full time jobs that fund our adventures (this channel is our fun after-hours hobby space). Our career is running www.MobileInternetInfo.com - where we track mobile internet options for RVers and cruisers. We have a dedicated UA-cam channel for that content at / mobileinternetresource... you can subscribe to.

I just want to say thank you. I grew up in Fla. As a child I swam with manatees at Blue Springs. I'm now in my sunset, dying of lung cancer. Can't get around too well and all I have are my memories. You helped bring them back to life. Bless you.
So joyed we could bring back some memories for you. Peace be with you (I lost my father to lung cancer 6 years ago.)
Great fun, thank you for what you are sharing!
My Bucket list includes your trip! As soon as my 32' Trawler is ready to go! Thanks!
Love the St Johns river
You guys make Florida look nice,y'all look at peace with the world.
Florida is nice.. :)
You look so refreshed and content. You have definitely found your happy place!
Happy to see you back on the water. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Thanks, as always, for posting such marvelous videos. I have added the St. Johns River as a side trip I want to do on my Loop!
I hear the sadness in both of your voices to leave but, the immediate excitement when you moved on! Isn’t that always it, when you fall in love with a spot? But, moving on holds new memories, love and adventure together!! And the drone footage was incredible! The river looked like glass. Beautiful! 💕 And we’re from Ocala! So glad you enjoy them as much as we do. Absolutely loving the heartland of FL you guys are showing in this vid.
I love your cruising style! Thanks for sharing with us. I am a water person, but I've never thought of cruising before you started sharing on your journey. What peace and pleasure.
thoroughly enjoying the cruising videos. Thanks for sharing.
so good thankyou for letting us come along
We hope to be in that area with our boat in 2021. We'll be leaving on our loop from Texas end of next year. Thank you for sharing, we'll be following in your wake!
I love the cruising videos. Most People including me work hard all week to just maintain a "poverty" status and can only dream of doing this. In my case, living the dream through Your videos and boat view through You tube.
Thank you for the adventure!
Wow you guys are living!
Thanks for sharing!
Love your Bayliner 4788 too!!
Great to see your having a super time on the boat getting some R&R. Happy sailing.
Hi there, guys. Thanks for the video - you look SO happy! Thanks for the Kiki cameos!
My late wife and I honeymooned on a houseboat from 3 Bouys on the St John's in 1986.
"Flying chicken cove" was our anchor point.
Gotta love pool noodles and solar panels! Happy they lasted as a temporary fix.
Sure looked like a nice cruise.
We went houseboating on the Murray river here in Australia. Just about every evening we would find a nice spot and shortly thereafter another houseboat - with music - would arrive and park nearby despite miles of empty banks. We'd then have to untie and find another spot in the waning light. People are crazy.
Chris we love the tech stuff like the radar!! Awesome!! Show us more tech like the radar! 🙌🏻😸😻
*I* love that even though your original plans were to do "the loop" that you stay present to enjoy each moment of the journey - too many people would rush to the destination & lose all these gems of moments. We use to do canoe trips & we literally floated down river (one time for a week). We went one time with a group that tried to make a race out of it, paddling the whole way - it was not enjoyable - a workout but missed all the quiet scenery & becoming one with nature.
Racing has never been our thing.. enjoying the moment is so much more valuable.
Signed up with you two, a long time ago for the motorhome stuff as we have a smaller class A we love to camp in, but I now think we enjoy the boat videos more, these river cruises with the fun stops and the great shrimp dinners, keep it up. You guys are really living the dream.
Awww.. thanks. Glad you're enjoying our different modalities of travel.
Great video as always. I lived on Doctor lakes and my dad taught me how to fish in Black Creek. That was some 40 yrs ago. Thanks for bringing back some memories of my youth. Did you happen to stop in an eat at Whitey's fish camp at the bridge on Blacks creek. I worked there in the kitchen for a bit, great food back then. Really enjoyed the St. Johns River footage ,it is a great place for cruising. Have fun an be safe.
Hey guys loving ur videos! Been following u ever since u guys bought the boat! Well I say that, it was about 3 videos after u bought the boat. But yeah the reason those birds were following u is because ur wake stirs up all the little fish and they come closer to the surface and then those birds will swoop down and eat them but that’s weird they followed u that long. But keep up the amazing work and keep them awesome videos coming!!!
Big Sandbar party about 4 miles south of Shands bridge in green cove, Friday June 7th. Called Boater Skip Day. Usually aligned with Jax Poker Run.
Thank you for supporting #EQUALITY
What a great trip, I'm glad you two shared it with us! Now that it has a name you'll have to get some b-roll footage and add Coopernicus to the intro.
Once the travelogue timeline catches up to real time :).
Dot and I just got done watching the video. Good video and especially enjoyed watching it in 4k since we have a 4k TV/monitor. The Oklawaha is one of our favorite places to go. We put in at the dam spillway boat ramp and navigate down to Welaka. Like y'all said, twisty and turny. We've also been to Salt Springs and motored down to Silver Glen. We live closer to Black Creek and have done that creek numerous times. Our most recent outing in the past couple weeks was all the way up into Jennings Forest on Black Creek. Good for a john boat, not so much for a cruiser like yours. BTW, Dot and I were the ones in the camo john boat and talked to Chris while y'all were docked near the Ortega area on the Ortega River during your stay in Jacksonville, a day or so before you departed to Brunswick. Definitely looking forward to more adventures with y'all. Safe travels !
Thanks for stopping by in Ortega!
Beautiful part of Florida. I love your slow pace, as they say, slow and steady wins the race.
Are your plans to continue on the Great Loop for the summer and then return to the RV in the fall?
No plans at current time... we'll see how it comes together.
Really love your life. The pace is wonderful. Love the auto pilot feature.
Ever plan on doing any cruising in the New England areas?
Absolutely! It just will take us a while to get that far at our speed!
"Down river" being north makes perfect sense to me. Anyone familiar with the coast of New England will know that "Downeast Maine" is actually the northernmost piece of coast, because it's down wind in the summer.
Thanks for sharing!
Just curious about your plans with hurricane season coming???
Happy exploring,
Kari
We're currently making our way north, and will keep alert and present so we can make the best decision for us - just as we have for the past 2 years.
Hey guys, I miss your techno info, or is it on another web site? I enjoy your trips also.
Mobile internet has been our 'job' for 5 years now. Be sure to subscribe our Mobile Internet Resource Center channel.
How many bridges were there from Sanford to Jacksonville?
Not too many... don't recall exactly off the top of my head.
The St Johns river is a world class fishery. Curious to why you guys never throw a line in. You obviously like fish :)
We like to eat fish.. but have no desire to fish.
Local here, right over the bridge in Debary. Where did you find that t-shirt??
At one of the shops in downtown Sanford.. forget the name now.
Did you have to have Captain license to do those thing?
No, a Captain's license is only required for operating a commercial service.
I will never understand the people that invade my privacy when I am in the middle of nowhere!
You passed up Dunns Creek?
We pick different things to explore each time we do the St. Johns River (which we've now done many times).. we explore Dunns Creek and Crescent Lake in this video: ua-cam.com/video/shrsGbnaSSM/v-deo.html
Wouldn’t the correct term be to cruise “up” the St Johns instead of “down” since it runs south to north? Not that it matters as long as you get to where you’re going and having fun.
The river flows from south to north.. so heading north is going down the river.
I just always considered going north as going up and visa versa. It really was just a tongue-in-cheek statement. As long as we know what each other are trying to convey it’s all good.
it was two house boats get over it!
Three... and one within swing room of where we were anchored. And the other blaring loud music until 3am.
So, you piqued my interest......how did KiKi decide to get in the water?
Experiments with gravity.
Hey, you two...always enjoy your vids... I've recently been studying the dubious subject of directional river flows ... Thought you'd be interested in this: www.metrojacksonville.com/article/2013-apr-due-north-the-st-johns-river-is-one-of-many
Was really hoping this video was going to be more about the scenery and less chi-chat.
Welcome to our personal channel.. we are just sharing our story and experience for fun. We're not a travel scenery channel.
