    I made the Gammon yesterday. It was gorgeous, so moist and the glaze was incredible. Nicest Gammon I've tasted. Thank you for this method, well handy.

    Hi Susannah……You asked me to let you know how I got on with the pressure cook function on the Ninja foodi. Well .I’ve finally summoned the courage to use it & it didn’t blow up after all. 😀. I’m vegetarian so would only cook meat for family so today I pressure cooked a butternut squash which took about 5 mins if that. Then I cooked pasta and that only took 3 mins as opposed to 10/11mins as per packet instructions.Although it wasn’t much to get excited about it’s a start & certainly not as scary as I thought and not as terrifying as I remember from my mother’s pressure cooker way back in 50s/60s (I was always told to stand well back or get out of the kitchen as it hissed & screamed when releasing pressure). Thanks for your tips on this topic & convincing me to have a go at pressure cooking!

    Thank you so much for this video, what a fantastic choice of lovely mains and puds. I love the fact that there are 12 recipes in one place. I had no idea how versatile a pressure cooker could be. 😊thanks again. I subscribed a few days ago having found your channel by chance and love the fact its UK not USA.

      @@susannahskitchen I have a reasonably successful channel and many people don’t understand how difficult it is to produce the video content. I’m just pleased I came across your channel as it’s transformed our diet and food choices. Tonight I spotted (probably) gluten free bread with the soup, so now I’m wondering if you’ve had any success in making it, I’ve tried and failed miserably. I’m reluctant to buy commercial bread because it has so-many (nasty) ingredients! Sorry to hear you’ve had a not so-good day, hopefully the rest of the week will be better, it will soon be Xmas too.

    • @susannahskitchen
      @susannahskitchen  9 місяців тому

      @@G6EJD I’ll be honest that I have not found a homemade gluten free recipe that I love. It’s so worth the effort to make your own if the result is good. I tend to focus on buying my GF bread reduced and freeze it. I like it toasted, even for a sandwich so this suits me. Maybe it’s something I can work on in the new year.
      I’ll have to look at your channel …
      Struggling with dry eyes at the moment and still recovering from my foot surgery (up to a year with that). Nothing serious compared to alot of people but was just one of those days … a large vino is sorting it right now!!!

    So glad you shared a link to your UA-cam channel on Facebook. I love your videos. The recipes are so straight forward. I'm looking forward to trying them out. The one thing I'm unsure about is using pyrex in a pressure cooker as I've been led to believe it could shatter. Can you reassure me on this please. Thank you 😊

      @susannahskitchen  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi, thanks for using the link and coming over. I think you are right. I used Pyrex and it was fine but after I heard it could shatter too. I’d probably avoid to be safe now that I’ve heard that.

      I don’t understand the worry with hot steam and I was nervous of pressure cooking to start with. Trust the machine, it really does the job for you. I’ve never been burnt by it in any way. Pressure cooking is my favourite mode now I’m use to it

      I’m glad it’s useful to have shorter version videos all in one. I’ll continue to do this. I tested out a Tender Crisp Roast Chivken this week - results were good, video coming in December. Going to try out a whole duck this week and several Christmas ideas!

    Susannah, I have the banana bread baking right now. I had one problem - my Ninja Foodi wouldn't go below 225%. It is identical to yours, so what could be the problem? I finally figured it out! I am in America. We use fahrenheit - you use celsius. I went online and got the conversion. Problem solved!

      Pressure cook on high for 0 minutes (use boiling water in the bottom 250ml) - perfect broccoli (works with carrots and cauliflower etc.) just be mindful of the size you chop. You’ll want fine sliced carrots to cook at the same time as broccoli etc

      Hi, In the description of this combo video is links to all the individual recipes which are shown in more detail. In the individual recipes there is an ingredients list in the description. My 2024 recipes now have the ingredients listed on the screen at the start to try and help with this issue. The video is obviously the method of how to make the recipe. Unfortunately I currently don't have a recipe book or website, everthing is on UA-cam though. Feel free to message if you can't find something and I can reply with the info for you
