One of the Best, Maybe The best Brass Section in the world definitely! I'm happy to hear this quality from Chicago since decades!
Not bad. This band is going places.
They are the places lmao
Do you know what are you talking about?
@@zacharyhuang8560 sometimes. You thought this was bad?
@@herbiecactus6687 I think this is the best symphony orchestra on the world👍
I go see this orchestra several times a month. I try to see other prominent orchestras when I can. In recent years I've seen Pittsburgh, Clevelend, Milwaukee, St. Louis Symphony, SFSO, Seattle, LA Phil in their own halls. I try to catch European orchestras when I can. CSO goes through periods where it's one of the world's top orchestras, no question.
Truly the collection of the greatest brass musicians in the world
This is the best trumpet section the CSO has had in the past 20+ years. Very exciting.
Chis Martin really started to blossom.... right around the time he decided to leave. His last few months was probably my favorite section in recent years. Having Stefan is fun and exciting but he's an... interesting fit for CSO.
Once Jay retires and he's replaced by a young version of himself they will really shine again. I enjoy the new trumpet more than Martin. The thing is there are so many orchestra brass sections just as good as them these days.
Wow Jay F. still holding strong - the last appointment from the Reiner years if you don't know already......
That’s true! It’ll be a sad day when he is no longer with us
I went to the brass concert last week, it was an amazing experience :) I highly recommend going to one if you haven’t!

Not really, Ben!
See my reply to @Please learn To spell above.
Looking at some of the members it's time to pss off give up your seat let the younger ones have a go.for far to long old fkrs sit on these seats never stepping aside how are the young supposed to gain entry wait for you to die.a time limit should be set that players can keep their seats.
lmao
Sounded pretty good to me.
Oh shut the hell up dude lol. If they still couldn’t play at this level they would step down.
The arts are not a field to go into without a side hustle. These gigs are so rare to get, so if you get it, why not keep it as long as you can?
Jay Friedman (principal trombone) has been around since 1964. He wouldn't still be there if he couldn't play.
