What a complex problem this cancer. Yesterday I was told of a dear friend having Cancer at the age of 50. Non-smoker, drink alcohol lightly, nonsmoking non tobacco user. I came to UA-cam searching answers inputting the the limited information I have regarding his cancer. Red spotty rash was noticed underneath the armpit and spread rapidly. Thank you for this video so that I can begin to better understand what is happening to this family friend of ours at the age of 50. I'm trying to acquire more knowledge so I can be a voice of somewhat credible concern or optimism for his family as we travel this course. With all that being said, thank you again for providing this video. Best wishes..
Thank you Dr. Matt for the great video. I know it is an introductory video, so I assume you have generalized things for the purpose of highlighting the core differences. I just want to mention for those viewing that you can still get migration of leukemia cells to the areas like the lymph nodes and spleen. For example, in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a patient can present with swollen lymph nodes (lymphadenopathy), spleen (splenomegaly), and the liver (hepatomegaly). This occurs in ~20% of patients. doi:10.1038/bcj.2017.53
Hi, unfortunatley I Can't fond the two following videos that you mention about lymphoma and leukemia. Is it possible to link them in the description? Thanks!
Kindly make a video on insulin effect when we eat carbs, proteins and fats. And why insulin secrets the most when we eat carbs and lowest when we eat fats with proper science
As I understand it; leukemia is a cancer of the blood cells, lymphoma of the lymphatic system and myeloma of the blood plasma but they are all blood cancer.
In stage IV lymphoma, these abnormal lymphoid B or T cell could get in to the bone marrow right? Also they could be released to the blood system. I had a patient other day with the HX or mantle cell lymphoma and now they showing up in the peripheral smear
Anyone have good resources to look into the specific subcategories, not just T or B cell lymphoma but even further into the types of B-cell or T-cell lymphomas?

But in chronic lymphocytic leukemia the lymph nodes are involved (ie swollen), so I don't understand the difference between CLL & lymphoma.
