Olimpico is an incredible performance, but I suggest the live version from 2019 (Arnau Tour). He had a digital concert in 2020 (COVID) which was amazing, but I prefer the live performance in the stadium full of fans (ENERGY). You still haven't seen his full range. His performance of "Stranger" (Super Shine Brothers) shows the very lows, and his performance of "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku shows the extreme high note (D 8...not on the piano). He also does "Diva Dance" from the movie "The Fifth Element" (Bastau version is the best). There are so many incredible performances by this man (Angel, Alien), it will leave you stunned every time. Thanks for a great reaction. If you want to listen to Dimash’s more classical performances you can try Olimpico and Passione. Sinful Passion was originally written and performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio. They accompanied Dimash for this performance and at the end of the video, he humbly thanked them. The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash. The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish". Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as an Arabic maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Some background on how Dimash can do this....he started vocal/music lessons at the age of 5 after telling his grandparents that their piano was out of tune. Both of his parents are singers. His mom is a soprano and his dad sings pretty high as well. When Dimash was younger he sang mostly higher and was embarrassed to have to sing with "the girls". Vocal coaches have explained that because he was coached through puberty (he continues training with a vocal coach to this day) he was able to maintain his higher range while gaining a lower range too. Literally every performance by Dimash will surprise you in one way or another! Looking forward to Olympico, also known as Ogni Pietra, written specifically for Dimash by renowned Russian composer, Igor Krutoy.
Actually Dimash said in several Russian interviews that when he reached puberty he did not lose his childhood soprano voice but he did gain his male lower voice. He has longer than normal vocal chords which allowed him to retain the ability to sing those beautiful high choir boy notes and also reach those gorgeous low baritone notes. Rigorous training with both a Bel Canto classical voice male teacher and a female soprano classical voice teacher enabled him to excel in all regions of his voice and he is still training his voice in all registers to this day. As he states, 99% hard work and 1% talent.
Yes, Dimash does a lot of songs in a way no other vocalist in the world could, but for some reason, I would absolutely want to see your reaction to his take on Show must go on. Yes, the Queen cover he did in I am singer competition in 2017. It is fantastic.

On stage with him. The guttural yodel type sound is done in dimashs culture for the death of someone. Also, go back and watch the video at the end of the song. Not everybody stands up. But at the end a bald man in a white shirt stands up clapping for dimash. Some time around this event igor Kurtoy a Russian billionaire producer composer offers comes out of retitirement and offers his service and 5 of ten of his songs for dimash to use. This event is in Sochi Russia. So sometime after the China show Dimash and Igor collab together. So if you see Igor at the piano with Dimash they are working together. Dimash sings both Igor’s old songs and also writes songs for him. All of this is important because of copyright laws

I never get tired of this performance, it's so magnificent! Ogni Pietra (AKA Olympico) is mostly performed in a classical style, but with a rocky edge, musically. It's so commanding and compelling. But honestly just about everything he does is magical and extraordinary. The list is long. Start at the beginning - in 2017 and progress chronologically, it's the best way to watch him grow and become even better, as he is today. I'm excited for the next reaction to our DEARest 💞🦌

Before you react though, read a little bit about Igor Krutoy; Igor is a big name in the Russian music industry; He was so Impressed by Dimash that he came out of retirement to write songs for him. Olympico was the first one he wrote. Every collaboration between Igor and Dimash is absolutely fabulous. Enjoy
Fun fact: the guy in the white shirt in the audience who starts the standing O is master composer Igor Krutoy, and I think he’s hearing Dimash for the first time here (maybe not). Anyway, after this Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash, and the next song you plan to check out-Olympico-is one of their early collaborations. You’ll get to hear more of Dimash’s classical technique and lower register in that one. Also, as you get into some of his more recent music (2021, I think), you’ll have to start obscuring the video. He’s working with a production company that is very zealous of copyright. But the music is awesome so it’s worth the frustration. If you’re interested in checking out another group and singer with a strong following, I strongly recommend Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci. Since you’re a rapper, maybe Voiceplay’s We Don’t Talk About Bruno is a good place to start (it’s a cover from Encanto, music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda-he’s a rapper, among other things, so there are elements of rap in the song). Geoff is the group’s bass-he’s the guy most reactors seem to notice first because he can hit crazy low notes. With him, maybe start with his latest cover-Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers. Thank you again for reacting to our Dimash! Just when you think he can't surprise you anymore, he will. He's always working on cand improving his craft. Olimpico is an incredible performance, but I suggest the live version from 2019 (Arnau Tour). He had a digital concert in 2020 (COVID) which was amazing, but I prefer the live performance in the stadium full of fans (ENERGY). You still haven't seen his full range. His performance of "Stranger" (Super Shine Brothers) shows the very lows, and his performance of "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku shows the extreme high note (D 8...not on the piano). He also does "Diva Dance" from the movie "The Fifth Element" (Bastau version is the best). There are so many incredible performances by this man (Angel, Alien), it will leave you stunned every time. Dimash's mother is a renowned Opera singer and his father is a traditional folk art singer that is also well known. Dimash brings their teachings into most of his songs.
He practices 2-3 hours every day and he goes to a pool 🏊♂️to help his breath control.
He is from Kazakhstan, one of the former 15 republics that was part of the former USSR. He speaks Russian perfectly
He has a younger brother and sister.
Almost all of Dimash's songs are sung live in front of a live audience with the exception of 2 music videos which is the opposite if how most American artists are seen which are in videos and hearing them on the radio. Dimash has his own production company and does not want to have to join one in America to be able to be on the radio and get his music played. He instead said "he is going to do more concerts in America."

Sinful Passion was originally written and performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio. They accompanied Dimash for this performance and at the end of the video, he humbly thanked them.
The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash.
The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in an interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish".
Dimash modified the traditional vocal trill by adding a Yakuti yodel technique as well as an Arabic maqam which is a system of oriental scales, melodic phrases and ornamentation techniques. He did it all to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced these classical and oriental techniques into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Some background on how Dimash can do this....he started vocal/music lessons at the age of 5 after telling his grandparents that their piano was out of tune. Both of his parents are singers. His mom is a soprano and his dad sings pretty high as well. When Dimash was younger he sang mostly higher and was embarrassed to have to sing with "the girls". Vocal coaches have explained that because he was coached through puberty (he continues training with a vocal coach to this day) he was able to maintain his higher range while gaining a lower range too. Literally every performance by Dimash will surprise you in one way or another! Looking forward to Olympico, also known as Ogni Pietra, written specifically for Dimash by renowned Russian composer, Igor Krutoy.
Actually Dimash said in several Russian interviews that when he reached puberty he did not lose his childhood soprano voice but he did gain his male lower voice. He has longer than normal vocal chords which allowed him to retain the ability to sing those beautiful high choir boy notes and also reach those gorgeous low baritone notes. Rigorous training with both a Bel Canto classical voice male teacher and a female soprano classical voice teacher enabled him to excel in all regions of his voice and he is still training his voice in all registers to this day. As he states, 99% hard work and 1% talent.
Yes, Dimash does a lot of songs in a way no other vocalist in the world could, but for some reason, I would absolutely want to see your reaction to his take on Show must go on. Yes, the Queen cover he did in I am singer competition in 2017. It is fantastic.

On stage with him. The guttural yodel type sound is done in dimashs culture for the death of someone. Also, go back and watch the video at the end of the song. Not everybody stands up. But at the end a bald man in a white shirt stands up clapping for dimash. Some time around this event igor Kurtoy a Russian billionaire producer composer offers comes out of retitirement and offers his service and 5 of ten of his songs for dimash to use. This event is in Sochi Russia. So sometime after the China show Dimash and Igor collab together. So if you see Igor at the piano with Dimash they are working together. Dimash sings both Igor’s old songs and also writes songs for him. All of this is important because of copyright laws

Also the chanting in this performance is a Kazakh tradition Dimash wanted to pay tribute to the lead singer of A Studio that has passed away. Not sure when he passed. I never get tired of this performance, it's so magnificent! Ogni Pietra (AKA Olympico) is mostly performed in a classical style, but with a rocky edge, musically. It's so commanding and compelling. But honestly just about everything he does is magical and extraordinary. The list is long. Start at the beginning - in 2017 and progress chronologically, it's the best way to watch him grow and become even better, as he is today.

Fun fact: the guy in the white shirt in the audience who starts the standing O is master composer Igor Krutoy, and I think he’s hearing Dimash for the first time here (maybe not). Anyway, after this Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash, and the next song you plan to check out-Olympico-is one of their early collaborations. You’ll get to hear more of Dimash’s classical technique and lower register in that one.
Also, as you get into some of his more recent music (2021, I think), you’ll have to start obscuring the video. He’s working with a production company that is very zealous of copyright. But the music is awesome so it’s worth the frustration.
If you’re interested in checking out another group and singer with a strong following, I strongly recommend Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci. Since you’re a rapper, maybe Voiceplay’s We Don’t Talk About Bruno is a good place to start (it’s a cover from Encanto, music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda-he’s a rapper, among other things, so there are elements of rap in the song). Geoff is the group’s bass-he’s the guy most reactors seem to notice first because he can hit crazy low notes. With him, maybe start with his latest cover-Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers.

For ensemble works, you may wish to check out Ti Amo Cosi with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifiulina. Additionally, any of his works in Kazakh are incredible. He has made it his mission to mix genres and bring his Kazakh music to the world. A more recent piece added to Dimash’s repertoire is Stranger by Igor Krutoy (the same composer as Olimpico and the gentleman seen standing in the front row during the Sinful Passion performance. He came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He has since also helped Diana Ankidinova (sp?) with her career. Another unique voice from East Europe.). Enjoying your enthusiasm! Cheers from Canada!

That last amazing note was 23 seconds long. You should watch some videos of why Dears love Dimash or Dimash forgetting that he’s human or Dimash playing with his voice. Obviously After olimpico and opera 2 please
