I would love to go back to work and make my six figure income but all of my doctors are together in not releasing me for work, I’ve been crushed in a mine fall and I know I will hurt like crazy if was. But with social disability it’s just not enough to have any kind of living.
I hear this frequently. For many of us, our jobs are part of our identity. It is very, very difficult to go from being active and productive to staring at the 4 walls hoping SSA will approve our claims.
@ I was 4 years waiting and everything I had saved was used to provide for my family and now it’s impossible to save but hopefully it won’t be long until Trump gets inflation biden nation down and out
I received my SSI letter for January 2025 showing my 2.5% raise 🤦🏻♀️ my question is it showed I was owed $1521.90 but they round down so almost a dollar is taken, who gets my .90 cents? If they take all the thousands of disabled or people on SSA’s .90 cents that would add up to thousands!! When on disability every dollar or cent count! Thank you for your videos they helped me win my disability 2 years ago on my own! I did call your office and they did step in at the very end but I had already received the letter of acceptance. Still, I was very grateful for their and yours help!
I meant he not you sorry but you know what think about it if you never get that 90 cents back and then decide to give it back to you and 5 or 10 years do you get 90 cents or the interest that was occurred bethel text the hell out of that and give you 30 cents
I'm 70 I got disability because I was still a working. Somebody put me back to work after I got that one big check had to wait another 4 months and I'm going to find out who signed me back to work and then I'm going after the government I've had enough of all this bull
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...

I understand your frustration. You correctly see the funds you are fighting for as your money that you contributed while working. SSA sees the money in the Social Security trust funds as their money and they do everything they can to avoid paying you.
I was getting $1,141 disability check, but after the COLA raise and medicare going up to $185 I'm now getting $1041 per month. They haven't sent out a notice of decreased benefits. Why would this happen and is it happening to anyone else?
I have a question. If I earn some money off social media if it is under the SGA for a few months do I need to report this and can I lose my benefits under my next CDR if reported or not
I so have a question...I was told years ago that I would not be able get ssd because I tried for it and l lost. I am a 100% disabled veteran i have not worked since 2009. When I filed the ss person told the judge he did not believe i would be able to hold ganefull employment. But i was still denied. Can I refile now ...
The problem is that if you have not worked since 2009 you almost certainly are no longer insured for SSDI. You could pursue SSI but your VA money likely offsets that.
I got least then that , but it could have been no increase at all.. but I have a question why is all this money talk when I have not seen it at all in the bank ?
Question for you, but I’m trying to apply for SSI if my case goes more than a year or two years, I’m hearing that things I’ve changed in the laws that you don’t get the whole lump sum money you get it every six months is that true?
You apply for ssdi no ssi when you become 62 you call the and tell them you are taking retirement at 62 a month before you turn 62 then you will start receiving your retirement on your birthday it varies from state to state
if you have learning disability, if you’re trying to get a security job, how can I work? Would they help you read the questions and answers for you? How do that work? Please let me know because it’s hard for a lot of people with disable who cannot read but just a little.
I reapplied for S.S.D.I in August after previously being denied twice (the last denial was about 7 years ago- I'm 49 now and will be 50 in May) and I was wondering is it possible to get approved or receive S.S.D.I before 6 months of applying/reapplying? Also, is it possible to get any back pay from where I applied before and reapplied? I probably should have reapplied sooner but I sort of gave up on it because of being denied twice.
A lot of people chose to work under the table or part time for a lot of reasons . Child support or debt . Regardless SS knows and you won’t get much at all .

Could you do a video about children's SSDI? As I understand their should be an offset assessment from pay earned by the parent(s). In addition many are on State medical aid even though the parents have health care available through that employment. I know some that do not do the offset or place the children on their health insurance. If I understand wrong please correct.
@@marykayrodgers441 children don't get SSDI... They get SSI but not SSDI. If the parent gets SSDI then the children under that parent if found disabled get SSI.
@furryplantsandcoins9070 isn't there still law in place for the SSI child to have the offset and medical coverage in place? Still ripping off SSI for Autism.
@furryplantsandcoins9070 Thank you, semantics though. Audits should be done on the SSI cases involving children as many DO NOT REPORT MONEY FROM JOBS FOR THE OFFSET. I thought an educational video would help people understand the process. THANKS FURRY PLANTS LOL.
My question is that I finally got my disability back after 3-4 years through another lawyer. But before that I received my disability from a different lawyer in earlier years. I was told by the disability people that I could work so I did but I could only make a $1100 a month. The job I got was working with migrants in a daycare and I only worked 4-5 months a year and draw my unemployment until the job starts back up usually in may ending in October. My husband which is my payee always called them to report when I started back each time. But I was still taken off disability for about 3-4 years I now just got back on it with a different lawyer running my case. But I'm concerned that the judge was angry because I worked and received disability but it was only for four to five months and it was taken from my check the amount I received while working. I want to know if that was right for her to do and I didn't work long per year?
@cassandrawilliams250 If you drew unemployment, you made a legally binding statement that you were "able and available for full-time work without restrictions.". I am pretty sure that SSA looks at that.
