Young Adam watches Ghostbusters 2 on TV (1989), but older Adam sees Willow opening day in the theater (1988). It's like that town in Inside Job, forever stuck in the 80s. R.I.P George Segal (Albert "Pops" Solomon) 1934-2021. I can't believe he just died now we're all gonna miss him alot. I hope one of the new episodes will do a Tribute Dedicating him this year.

Great show!!! My absolute favourite new show from the fall of 2013. I'm not sure if it's going to be back in the fall (IT BETTER BE), Every episode makes me laught out loud!!! Great concept Adam Goldberg...great childhood too. Cheers to you!
This is such a cool and funny show to watch with family and friends!! Finally a realistic family on TV who have problems but work them out in a constructive way in the end and it doesn't have to resort to mindless violence, sexism, racism, foul language, stereotyping, meanness or scare like other popular shows right now. I hope this stays on longer than "The Cosby Show" and "Growing Pains" did!! America needs Pops, Bev, Murray, Erica, Barry and Adam right now for a laugh and to forget everything that's going on right now, at least for half an hour once a week .

Whose hand is that holding the tape and putting it in the VCR?? I always assumed it was Sean Giambrone's hand since he plays Adam, but it's the same hand in every season and Sean's hand was much too small in the first couple of seasons.
they did do a 2010s intro though -Modern Family. The show went with the most popular show of that era and it was Modern Family undoubtedly (for family sitcoms)

The theme song sounds a lot like Fountains of Wayne "No Better Place". I'm not saying it's plagarism, just that the melody is very close. I kept thinking I had heard the song before and that was it.
