ABOUT THE TRENCH:
The Trench is a short horror game where you as captain of the Pandora submarine, are the only one who can brave the depths of the Trench - a dark and treacherous abyss. Your mission is to retrieve crucial data from the wreckage of the Neptune, a doomed sub that met its fate in the shadowy depths of the trench. But be warned - the trench is home to unimaginable horrors that will test your courage and cunning to the limit. Can you survive the terrors of the deep and complete your mission, or will you succumb to the horrors of the Trench?
One of my favorite facts, airlines cruise at 35-40k feet. Which means if you look up and see a plane, that’s how deep the ocean is if you stand on the bottom.
Never thought of it that way 😮 that’s cool
I just love how light doesnt even reach down that far 🥰
And thats not exactly true. The average deep of the ocean floor is 4000-6000m, or roughly 13k-20k feet if you like strange measurements.
@@WoWan4oZ except that if you watched the video, the intro is about the deepest part of the ocean.
That's really spooky when you put it that way, lol
Love the educational start! So let's continue it :)
10:27 that sure looks like a humpback, however depth says 1600 meters, which is 1000 m deeper than the deepest recorded dive of a humpback.
The beaked whale can hold it's breath for over 220 minutes, which is over 3.5 hours!
I think there is more than one beaked whale though and I would have never remembered this but I’m pretty sure it was the Cuvier's beaked whale that I saw in the documentary with it diving incredibly deep!
@@thefoosterchannel this looks more like a modern 'Iron long' clone. Should check it out
Yeah looks like a misplaced humpback- possibly foreshadowing of strange animal behavior?
I think it's safer to assume it is a humpback whale model and it's simply that the dev didn't really put in the scientific effort of knowing what goes where lol.
Don't know how deep Beaked Whales go, but is it deeper than Sperm Whales? It's pretty well-known they can hold their breath as long, and they swim WAY far down to catch Giant Squid
Thank you for the science lesson Fooster! The reason why mountains shift is due to tectonic plates which make up the Earth's crust, or outermost layer. Basically huge slabs of land that shift causes earthquakes and tremors. The rubbing of two plates is why mountains are formed in the first place, as the land juts out from the crust. Same concept applies to already existing mountains, so that's why they might change in size and/or altitude
I think it's the other way around with earthquakes, earthquakes don't cause the tectonic plates to move, but the tectonic plates' movement causes most earthquakes.
The pushing of plates causes mountains.
@@kokolama123 Thank you. I wasn't 100% sure, but I knew they were correlated
Isostatic and eustatic changes also occur from massive weight transitions and can affect mountain ranges, a great example is the late ice age meltdowns caused Hudson Bay to rebound by 1.5 kilometers resulting in fossilized shorelines over the last 12,000 years of oceanic rising, glacial meltdowns, and the rising and subsiding of landmasses around the earth to adjust to the shifting weight.
A fun and fascinating one is the azores plateau which mirrors the myth of Atlantis with its coincidental subsidence beneath the Atlantic Ocean around 11,600 years ago or 9,600 bc, the date given for the sinking of the mythical city. A fun coincidence at the minimum. All the information should be available but some of it is a bit dated and will be put to further tests by current teams trying to figure out the geological history of the Azores landmass considering its very paralleled geology to the mythical story of Atlantis as told by the Egyptians and preserved by the Greeks.
@@fusrodahing1993 Absolutely, very easy to swap them around. :)
Welp better call Godzilla to take care of that mess lol
I was gonna say some stupid stuff about Godzilla at the end but with all the trailers and info going around about the new movie I thought people might get a bit irritated with it 😂
@@thefoosterchannel lol I would have said next time we are playing Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee 🤣
The creature is even huge than Godzilla, so only Godzilla earth can compete
Never! Godzilla is timeless and can never be spoken of too much
can you pls play 7 Days to Die its been now the 7th video (day 7) of asking you to play it since i just commented on your new video@@thefoosterchannel
This intro was amazing! We need more FooTalks in intros!
Im like sitting here.. putting butter on my toast and shipping tea.. and suddenly i choke on the tea and was coughing thinking "did he just say Jacka**s Picard?" 😂😂😂
The black sheep, rebel brother of Jean-Luc. 🤣
I butcher names Jimmy, OK! 😂
@@missdire He is actually Jean-Luc's ancestor in show, I hate the fact I remembered that 🥴😅
Lmao, that's what I heard too
@@thefoosterchannel butchered the name? Your pronunciation is positively American!
Your videos bring me joy.
Thank you for watching Dexoh
Anytime brother!
A father and his son making video games together sounds genuinely wholesome.
I love how excited you are, looking up facts and info, it just made this video 100 times better.
Thank you 😂
@@thefoosterchannelit’s adorable to 😊
pls play 7 Days to Die, and put me in the video!@@thefoosterchannel if you even decide to play the game and make videos about it
6.7 miles deep…I’ll stay on land thank you lol
I love the addition of skull that seems to be from a Dragon near the end. The subtle "yes, there were, and perhaps still are, other creatures of myth and legend. But THIS one, at least, this pinnacle of power suffered the same fate as everything else..."
So much world building potential wasted on a walk-to-your-death simulator 😔
Spooky underwater time with Capn Fooster aboard the poopsub. Great stuff chap, be safe, be well and be good.
Ty Fizz!
Play metro exodus
They already did
I think he already did. had a whole series
Yeah he only has played 2033 and Last Light.
Exodus is good, but nothing will beat 2033 imo. But. Fooster could make another good playthrough
@@CB_agotchi it’s not on his channel if he did. He has 2033 and last light up
Talk to him about it then? I don’t manage his account.
I wonder if there's multiple endings to this game now, like an additional one in addition to the one that we saw, where as soon as they mention about Odin Corp trying to cover something up, Fooster just starts ascending and going back to the surface... curious what would happen, but games like this I'll be honest actually terrifying me more than space
You really should start making short documentarys. Your voice is excellent for storytelling.
Dude, that whole intro was awesome!
I love the content recently I’ve always loved your style
Thanks iggy ❤
@@thefoosterchannel of course man I remember watching all of the original mist videos and thinking your editing and immersion was the best
Thanks Fooster for one more video. I wanted to suggest to you Barotrauma. A submarine management with pretty scary monsters. It's better played in multiplayer (at least much more fun). So why not ask Fisk and Olof to come along? I am sure you would love it! I have been playing it for the last few weeks and it's so cool! Loving it! Cheers!
I’m not certain if I have megalophobia, I think I might have it, and if I do, I do enjoy confronting my fear, because in truth I am afraid of majestic things that are cool to look at. Like if I see a picture of outer space, I am looking at something is larger than myself, and that can feel uncomfortable, but that makes me want to confront my fears. Because I don’t want to be afraid of things that are cool to look at.
Did you try to see if you can look up at the creature at the very end of the game?
Big fan , thanks for all the effort and enthusiasm.
Thank you for watching doug 👍
Nice!! Deep ocean horror are always so fun! And love the little facts you also share!
I appreciate you Leoj
This game reminds me of subnautica... This games freaky. Know what other game is freaky ?... The Mist! I would absolutely lovebif you made a series on it! I'd watch it over and over !
He has
I know haha ! Just would love another after the update !
The only thing they have in common with Subnautica is that both take place underwater. Other than that, they are two completely different games, both in mechanics and genre. Especially since this game is pretty boring so far and there are freshwater fish swimming in the sea, which reflects the bungling of the developers.
I mention that I will be doing a series on Mist in the previous video 😂
this looks more like a modern 'Iron long' clone.
I loved the nerdy little rant in the beginning lmao
Hey mate, fun fact an earthquake that exposes a trench at those depts would create a deadly tsunami. 🙊👍 GG
I thought it was cool that you did some research about a subject related to the game and shared that information with your viewers. Love your videos Fooster.
That's such a cool idea for a game. Fooster, LOVE your enthusiasm nerding out with this stuff. Keep it up my friend.
Ever heard of subnautica?
Yeah ! @@GLayne
i love the science lesson in the beginning, LOVE it
Sorry 😂 I get a little excited over random stuff like that
I love that Fooster was so enthused playing this - I doubt I could have put up with the terrible game voice acting if Fooster hadn't seemed so enthralled.
Fooster: "Jacka*s Piccard"
Me: "Ah yes, perfect!"
I absolutely love games like this. The setting makes it for me. Something about underwater submersibles, the lack of space and realization that if anything major happens, you're basically screwed. It's also why I like space horror so much, but underwater bases (like in DeepStar Six) are just so fascinating to me.
Warning. Entering ecological dead zone. Adding report to the data bank
I dont know if you would ever do something like a "Fooster rambles," but i feel like you could have a great series on different topics and interests if you ever felt inspired
Yessss. Subscribers or members vote on a top once a fortnite, and he just goes down a rabbit hole with it.
I was on a submarine in the USN for 5 years and went over the Mariana Trench several times. It’s both exciting and chilling.
Was just checking your channel for a new video 😅 NOICE ONE 😁
Hope you enjoyed it QIKU!
For anyone who's ever been in an airplane; cruising altitude is 35-37,000 feet. Imagine how tiny buildings are from up that high, then imagine those buildings at the bottom of the trench and you're on the surface of the water. Incredible.
Fooster I Love your stuff mannnnn!!!
French is hard, but Jacques is usually pronounced like Shark but with a J in front. At least that's how I remember it. Think of it like the name "Jack" with an elongated "ahhhh" instead of the "Ack" of Jack.
Jhark?! No, not really 😂
You are so much nicer than I was gonna be. I was rearing to roast bro with that pronunciation
@@florianj6490he might be English like fooster, so that actually might be quite close. I’m American so it’s closer to “zh-aah-k” for me
@@vcbird German + Egyptian, I tried to think of it the best way to say it phonetically. it was not easy to come up with an English comparison.
I also meant more like Jark. no H. I do not know any better way to write it out. if you have one, please go ahead.
@@florianj6490 Regretfully you have not presented a better alternative.
The voice of your ship sounds exactly like Fisk’s voice
Being stuck in a sealed ship/vessel in a situation like this terrifies me. But I would 100% rather be in space. I don't know why but in my head it's safer because less people have died getting to and being in space. I know that makes no sense.
Nothing better than learning with Fooster. I’ve heard that the depths of our oceans have been less explored than space. If this is still true then it boggles my mind. Space and the depths of the sea are two of my biggest passions. This is going to be good. 👍🏼
I've heard the same! It's crazy!
Well, more like "seen," because of course we don't really go far enough into either.
The Voyager Probe launched when? The 70s? And a few years back it hit the Heliosphere... once it's through that region, it'll be impossible to hear, as the cosmic radiation pushed away by Sol (our Sun) is what's out there between stars.
Either way, we have seen THOUSANDS of galaxies. But as far as the amount of ocean floor we've looked at with probes and manned submersibles is sitting at about 1% there's just so freaking much, and it takes a TON to get down there. Not space numbers, obviously, but it's still an expensive thing to do and takes lots of time and planning.
Great info Fooster, love that!
I'm gonna edit to say... I have a very, what feel, healthy fear of the ocean. My heart is palpitatin 💓💓 The info you gave set this video up wonderfully, I'm terrified 😳😂
is it just me but fooster should be a voice actor
2 mins ago?? I have been blessed!
Seen a play-through by another UA-camr, but Fooster is by far the best one! Just a quick question. Was that supposed to be the Kraken at the end?? Can't wait for more!!👍👍👍
I have to ask before watching.. was it a Fisk? 😅
Isnt it strange how they in the 1960's could reach that depth and reach the moon.. followed by 60 years where it apparently was impossible to do both 🤷
When you going to finish the metro series was looking forward to your reaction to exodus tbh
:(
Or, for normal human beings, it's 6.8 MILES deep! 🙄 Approximately the same depth as UA-cam's bull 💩.
As an American I always laugh at myself a little because no matter what the number is in metric I'm never impressed or have a reaction until feet is mentioned then I'm like "oh wow, that's actually kinda deep." Lol
Wonder when Fisk will be joining 🤔
Lol pretty sure James Cameron also directed Titanic. Not that has anything to do with this video. Love your content dude, I'm cracking a beer lol 😆
Another Fooster video made my day 10xs better
The Deep Sea is one of the most interesting things on this planet right after the human brain, I've seen countless documentaries and the fact that we know more about the universe than the deep sea on OUR planet is very terrifying :^)
I Love these little gems you play in between series it’s a treat everytime
Not the same genre but i think it would be so cool if you did a rdr2 play through as another series like your The Infected videos, those were so entertaining! Awesome content!
Duuudee have you seen the trailer for Zoochosis? If you haven't you definately should watch it.
That game looks so cool! I'm looking forward to seeing some playthroughs.
the real question is why the main character didn't go back to the surface after around 3000 feet in. i know i heard enough from the audio logs at that point.
there needs to be more games like this
Immediately dropped everything just to be here for another Fooster vid 🤙
Same
Another Blessed Day
this is a great example of how dumb fiction can get. A simple solution with exaggeration effect.
I love all the informative details about the trench. I love that stuff. It's insane how cool the planet is and millions of undiscovered species. So exciting. Thank you for sharing all this information. Can't wait to see the rest of this awesome game play.
While we all came out of water, water is the most scariest thing ever possible!
You know how refreshing it is, to see someone play a game like this who is not one of those "everything big underwater is Cthulhu" or "imma scream bloody terror at every little scare" types (and we probably all know who I'm talking about).
I liked that. You're really chill. Have my sub.
IGP?😂
Leave my boy IGP alone 🤣
@@NLGogeta obviously I'm controlled by Cthulhu, I am forced to do this of course😭 because it has to be Cthulhu
Jackass Piccard👍
Nah bro scp 108472973397329 escaped the facility again 😭
is it just me or does rooster and fooster have basicly the same contant execpt one hunts and one kills??????
I love the Marianas Trench. They’re a good band with good music.
oh No No No no You gonna play this Game fooster? God damn i hate deep ocean and now i force myself seeing this lol🤣🤣
Everyone, who has seen the movie Meg: Trench knows what's under the Mariana trench 😅
I made my comment, paused the video, got my beer, and when I turn the video back on you u say jacka.. Picard. LMAO 😂 taking as swig of beer 🍺
Nope! Can't do this! I liked it. I'm commenting. I'll share it. Can't watch it though!
First time commenting, and I'm absolutely happy finding this channel! ♥ I appreciate the dedication, engaging content, educational times, and the sense of humor across all your videos. While I haven't had the chance to watch this particular one yet, I can already sense that I might regret it lmao... especially considering my megalohydrothalassophobia. Wish me luck.
Are you gonna try *Hollowbody* demo now that it's out?
It's a pretty cool 80s/90s dystopic survival horror made by one guy.
I’m gonna tell you now Fooster, one I think you will like would be a game called the Last Of Us. It’s scary, adventure, and all around fun to play.
I'd love to watch him play that and give us a review
Wonderful youtuber
Play rdr 2 online and do 100 days or something you like..👍
Going into the depth of the sea and its so dark...ill be gone...hell no its scary in the deep side
I love the fish that are swimming around at about 9:00 minutes. I used to keep those kind of fish, they are without a shadow of doubt Discus Cichlids.
More at home in the delicate freshwaters of the Amazon rainforest. 🤣🤣
Not in the harsh marine saltwater seas of the open ocean.
But whatever, I guess the devs aren't up on their fish knowledge 🤣🤣
I was looking for this comment 😅
@@MelanieWebb112 Hurrah! I was wondering if anyone else would give a damn 🤣🤣
This little laughter at the beginning after all these diving jokes was gorgeous
Edit: "jackass piccard" 😂 it's just pronounced like Jack I guess
what is the that? is a plane? No, is Godzilla 29.01
Notice that they say oh no it's alive as in they already know about the creature👀

hi fooster I love your videos and I was wondering if you can play this game called "the worlds easiest game" if you can thank you so much i enjoy what you do very much
lol I think we all agree
This would be so fun and terrifying in VR.
The skull at 28:00 looks like sort of like a dragon/large reptile skull
Well, time to go build research bases around the trench
You should visit planet 4546B
He and fisk did a multi-player playthrough, had some glitches so they shortcut through parts of it
i have Talassofobia and this video is not good for me but i still watching it because why not..but holyy im scared..
Fooster on the mist survival they have an update and bring Leo to it :D you can resque him now :). i watch now this game but i think i would say about the update :) lots of new stuff coming op :) like new city i saw
I always get you and Fisk mixed up. You two sound and play the same 😂
I like how fooster managed to go through the entire thing without noticing the signals have an x and y coordinate above the depth range.
Don't worry Fooster, my heart jumped as well when Bruce popped out of nowhere at 13:00. I didn't see Dory or Marlin with him though, so already it's not looking good.
I really miss the infected series of videos. That was such a good game. I hope he uploads a new part of that series
I'm sorry F... The Neptune 😁😁😁
I would like to see you play FIREWATCH. I love your videos man, they're so relaxing and interesting to watch
Bruh, i'm in for the science!
I am one of those ppl who say smart is sexy
Need to get the facts right first though, before posting, some of these comments lol
Idk if there were updates to the report but you should listen to the sounds they pick up from the Mariana trench
I love your videos my favorite one is do you copy.
Always love and laugh when watching your videos Fooster😂😂👍 I would also recommend that you try No Man's Sky, it is so fun to play and so much to explore and do😁 Bring Fisk and maybe Taco and Olaf too, I bet you will have fun😉👍
