Thank you👍 it is sometimes intimidating to take the jump to coatings but once you there you won't turn back. Carpro is great as some of their coatings are very user friendly if you wanna diy. Keep watching this series im gonna be doing indepth videos on application and maintenance 👌
Great video thank you for the effort, I am thinking of applying SIC, can it be applied using the finger pad that comes with lite or suede with a block is better ?
Thank you 👍...definitely block and suede as it uses less product and applies a thinner even layer when using cross hatch pattern...when you buy SIC it should come with the block and 4 small suede clothes
Hi there Lee, I hope this is your name?😀 Well explained video obviously you have done your homework about cquartz ceramic coatings!👏👏 Very well done sir👍💪 Looking forward to part 2 ! Keep it up! Alan #dqdetails
Either one would be great. I would recommend if you are layering to put uk3.0 with sic over it. But if you have sic already down then I'd say gliss over it would be my choice 👍
Hi, no its only for paint lights and metal. For glass and windscreen you need to get carpro flyby Forte its a glass coating specially designed for that 👍
I have a question , can I apply one layer of cquartz sic and one top layer of cquartz gliss ? Is that recommended ? If yes , what's the warranty ? 18 months ?
You could use this combination and probably get around 18-24 months protection however I would not recommend this as sic already has great feeling and water spot resistance and doesn't need gliss as a topper...if you are gonna apply 2 seperate products i would recommend cquartz uk3.0 2 layers and then 1 layer gliss or even uk3.0 2 layers and 1 layer sic ...if you have sic its good to do 2 layers and then that's it ...gliss doesn't offer much benefit over sic rather spend your money on one of the other options in my opinion
Uk3.0 2 layers with 1 layer gliss around 36 months and uk3.0 2 layer with 1 layer sic could go to 42 months however this is manufacturer claims but carpro is great I've been using it for years and they are quite modest with their claims so when they say 24months etc. you know you getting close to that unlike some other brands
@@autoexquisitedetail7706 thank you for the reply , final question , can I top one layer of gliss on 2 layers of cquartz professional ? Is that recommended ? I need a combination to get 4 year durability without finest reserve . Please suggest me a combo for 4 year warranty
So without going into their professional line which only accredited installers i believe are allowed to apply your best option is 2 layers uk3.0 and 1 layer sic and that should be 42 months best the consumer line can give. (Occasional top up with reload sealant will help) But remember thats carpro longevity rating. For instance there's other brands that have coatings for 3-5 years and I've seen it last the same time give or take a month as uk3.0 which is rated as 2 years. Just saying this cause it shows some brands claim high durability ratings but don't have the same standard as carpro and this leads people to think carpro coatings aren't good cause they don't have those super high year ratings which is not the case. Just keep that in mind. Hope it helps
They don't have a dedicated product for matte paint maybe look into carpro cquartz skin its a vinyl ceramic coating. However I have not tried this so definitely do some research before applying any of their coatings. Their other cquartz range might work on matte as well but personally haven't seen or tried it so cant recommend for matte .
Hi bro, so my car has been polish, honestly i want ceramic to make my car change, become more shiny and more gloss, most important thing is that make my car looks changed. I don't really care about protection so light coating vs consumer coating will look the same on my car? And only give different protection time?
I would say all of these products perform very well. I would go for Sic its a good balance of everything you need. If you a beginner and a little worried about applying a coating go with lite still excellent but a bit easier to use and more forgiving if you make a mistake. You can check out individual how to use videos for those products on my channel.
AVOID THE PRODUCT: few reasons (I'm posting here because of these videos I chose products but this is my real experience with car CARPRO, you can contact me my account is genuine and I have all photos and communication saved) - customer service avoids the answer on the expiry date of the product - rude customer service - The CARPRO SIC I received has a lot of crystals under and around the cup and a lot of sediment in the bottle (story) to will get an answer to a simple question about the expiration date, which is not listed on the bottom in the Ex1 section or anywhere on the packaging, cost me 4 emails. BTW it's 12 months, so both products that I got were expired. About sediments and crystals, they said is completely normal for CARPRO Sic to escape during the delivery and sediments are because of a lot of UV protection inside. It was frustrating communication and in the end, they were even rude, so really disappointing. And I'm still not sure if I believe it is completely normal to have a compromised seal on the cup for a solution that is cured by exposure to air.
Very nice video. Thanks Lee! I have been thinking of getting the Lite variant for my car. Cannot wait for EP2
Thank you 👍I'm sure you'll be very happy with that product whether you a beginner or pro👌
Thanks for the informative video Lee!... deciding if I should go down this route.

Awesome! Can't wait to see! 👌
I really like Gliss as a stand alone and a topper.
Carpro 3.0 base with carpro sic as a topper is awsome
Sounds interesting personally haven't tried it yet but might do in the future 👍
Carpro guys actually recommend this as well. Haven't tried it either, currently on UK topped with Gliss and very happy with it.
Awesome video thanks for the info.

What is the most durable? 3.0 or sic?
3.0 rated for 24 months and Sic rated for 18 months. So the 3.0 is the most durable
