My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2002 Ford Bigfoot Class C and tow either a 2014 lifted Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

Saw you on Fox race broadcast during caution at end of race. On roof in your Willie B hat. My driver won but pull for all four Hendrick drivers. . Finish of Infinity race was great.

The steps should work if you tap your heels together three times and say I wanna go home.
Those steps have wires too small and they corrode. Replace with new wires bigger and better connections
If the Harley dealer is closed Monday camp in their parking lot! Load up Tuesday morning when they open and leave!

Maybe think about a set of flop out stairs, I think they're called More ride stairs? I hated those stupid stairs when I was in the class C RV. I finally yanked them out and had a friend weld up a set of aluminum stairs that were so easy to set inside on the rail that Kenny set up right where the old set came from. Happy trails and safe travels to you and the kitties.

In the unlikely event that I bought an RV, I would never buy one that relied so heavily on "electric" stuff...like steps, slides etc. I've watched too many YT vids to know that the automatic stuff screws up way more often.

People I know go to these RV shows and are talked into buying a massive RV either a 5th wheel, or 40 foot motorhome. They realize can't really use those in camp grounds your only choice are RV parks which are all full in nice weather areas of the country. They store them at RV storage hardly use them eventually selling at a loss. Don't have me sold on the bigfoot.

You can park at Cabela's near the track overnight.

What about the generator?
I didnt see any space markers. How do you know where to park the RV and do they put down lines to designate your area?
Yes, they paint lines the day before check-in. If it rains sometimes the lines get harder to see. But you can still make out the numbers in some sites and figure out where to go.

Hopefully you have already figured it out, but I would assume there is a bad wire, or loose connection that is "connecting" when you step on that spot. Probably just need to replace the wire. (maybe the wire for the magnet sensor on the door jab.

Clearly there is damage to the front of the steps. Most likely he hit something against the steps, and now blames others for it.

Great show Eric, the magnet on the door activates a reed switch in/under the frame, I think the reed switch has a problem or has a bad connection.
