This is such a simple yet genius product. It’s just taken all of the original plates and essentially made them half-price due to the fact that you can double the usage of each of them. Probably one of the most essential tools for anyone with a Glimmer machine. 🤝

I’m so glad you created this solid plate for hot foiling. I wasn’t going to get into foiling but yesterday I found a Gemini foil press on sale and I stopped resisting, knowing that today you would be doing that release. It’s going to be play time soon with all the sparkly goodies.

Finally got to play with my solid foiling plate and love it! Question tho: why does the foiling look white on the finish? Doesn’t happen every time. Maybe not hot enough? Too much pressure ? Please help with this. Thanks!
Thank you for this comprehensive explanation I notice that you don’t heat your foil and paper before pushing them through your die cutting machine . Does it help?

This is fantastic. But I still have the problem getting the reverse image..when I peal, most of the foil peals instead of staying where it is supposed to. I’ll try a different paper.

Amazing! I thought you needed toner paper to get it to stick. Is that just in a laminator?
There are two types of foiling - this is designed to work with a hot foil system, which relies on heat and pressure, and the foil that is designed to work with these machines. :) The other version you mentioned is a different kind of foil that uses toner paper, toner reactive foil, and a laminator.
I can’t wait to receive my solid plate. I save all my excess foil and use it tack on to double sided tape or images with double sided adhesive by hand - this will be such an awesome product! Ordered the INNA alphabet too - any chance of getting a stencil for the Heather and other alpha sets?
can this be used with the Couture Creations hot foil machine? I have Couture Creations and use with my Big Shot/Plus machines.I have a "metal shim", but can't seem to get an even application when I try to use the left-over (reverse impressions).
Are u using the hot foil dies to cut the shapes as well as foil them?
So i have this paper and i have used three different brands of ink for ink blending and with all three it makes my ink look dull and faded out.
Tried to order a plate but the site seems to be locked up, my order won’t go through.
Will this solid plate work with the Gemini Foilpress?
Lisa - yes it will! If you watch the video, at minute 4:34 it specifically addresses the Gemini Foilpress - so I would watch that short part if you want more info! :)

@@PinkFreshStudio I'll go look, thank you. I saw someone who foiled with an embossing folder and I was debating if I could use waste by using the flat reverse - this would really save me the job of messing with it!
