He did get stabbed. A friend of mine saw another staff member tackle the guy with the knife, the dude started thrashing and stabbed him in the foot and calf.
possible stress fracture in right foot. hes still waiting to find for sure. hopefully nothing too serious and he will be back out there with them again soon
Yeah one of the staff members was getting in an argument with someone parked in front of a bus, and the dude pulled a knife. I don't know exactly what happened but the 2nd bass got stabbed and the guy got arrested.
sorry I might get thumbs down on this post, but the only drumline that has ever really caught my attention was the 2009 crown battery. They are sooo clean, and the technicality of the books is so rare and so well written. The ONLY drumline to GET MY ATTENTION

bd might stay in first but this book to me is better than cavies and i think with a solid performance they should end up ahead of them. would love to see crown in the top 3 overall somewhere as well
went today and watched crown's drumline rehearse. they're at a high school this weekend about half a mile from house. looks like a lot of new faces on the snare line. zac the snare tech was really cool. talked to him for a few minutes during a break. looking forward to going back tomorrow.

I really enjoy this writing and I like the technique from the battery. Good teaching whoever is in charge! Crown just rocked an 85 the other night. The midwest and south championships are going to get interesting!
I think hes tapping triplets there (going into a 6/8 feel)...so their feet are probibly closer to like 152-172... Just an estimate. Not only that, but the drumline is holding there based on the lack of marking time.
Usually... not always, snare techs will teach the style they are most comfortable with, or Zack's case, the eric ward style (cadets early in the decade) drumming. Crown seems to hit the drums very very similarly to the cadets back in those days. But yeah, all the drum staff has made this line a dominant force. and... well the members too hah
BD and BC have the most interesting books this year...crown also..but cavies failed me this year...no book this year can compare to cavies 08..but thats just my opinion

I dont think Lee Beddis would get all hurt about it... Hes really quite the badass when it comes to drumming and writing battery.

I know that, but I was always taught to hang my snare at belt height for an ideal playing position. They all seem to hang lower than that.

i would definately be ok with crown winning drums this yr, that book is crazy and very sweet. not to mention they are playing it extremely well
