Yeah a leaking water pump or crack in the radiator is difficult to diagnose because if it seeps and evaporates you don’t always notice it. People really need to keep an eye on the coolant level and oil level on these cars to avoid most of the problems
All very good points. The owner of a boat mechanic shop taught us to check our oil level every time we get gas. Great lesson and you never lose an engine that way. Thanks for watching!
Lot of mod guys I know use evacuation pumps to get air out. I never had to but I guess it's a one time thing. Sometimes I had to burp mod motors 3 times to get system right. Nice explanation 👍🏼
They are supposed to be a mild improvement, but I don't think they are worth the cost unless you are doing a high horsepower build. Thank you for watching!
The light to add coolant is on in the 99 vert, have you ever heard of that coolant sensor going bad? Car never gets above half temp on gauge, 80 miles at 2500-3000 in 89 degrees no issues.
Great info thx Mike!
Thank you Victor!

Thanks Walt, I had to pressurize my supercharger coolant tank with a pump to force the bubbles out. Whatever does the trick!
Certainly sounds like you’ve been around these motors for a while. Awesome info 👍🏻
Thank you very much Yellow Hammer. Yes I really like the Mod Motors!
Solid explanation!
Thank you very much for watching PattDa1!
Thanks Mike, I love your Frankenstein set up…
Thank you very much for watching and leaving a comment!
My UA-cam friend. Lots of great points.
Thank you very much Gary!
Hello what do you think about the edelbrock water pump for Mach 1 ? Thanks

Normally those sensors don’t go bad. Have you topped it off to see if it makes a difference?
@@MikesGarageRoute66 no it went down twice when we cycled it and has stayed right on the tank line ever since but gauge in the car on
@@88TRUNKBACK If it’s topped off it must be the sensor.
good info
Thank you Travis!
