    I'm seeing the small Chumash tools in Ventura county, Ca. I would agree with your finds at our camp sites! Finger grips of the most insignificant tools adds complexity to there manufacturer & intentions.
    The smaller points here have been found haft on the socketed foreshaft & are obvious arrowheads. Being on a short shaft would be handy knives also. Many of are small points are resharpened at the points. My theory these were thin & small to past between the ribs of game! Most hear are cascade style with no notching. Our desert sidenotch are also known as arrowheads. So i can't agree with your findings on so called " bird points" which here are almost all arrowheads, anything bigger are spear points or knives,
