As much as I adore and respect Scott G....if you step back and really digest what he says (and often says the same things in every presentation) it starts to sound very "horoscope" like in that much of it is pretty vague and non-specific in a sense that it is pretty hard to prove him wrong regardless of the market outcome even if you compare it to two polar opposite outcomes. Scott G's reputation revolves about him being right more often than he is wrong and it feels like he salts the field a bit with these statements that could apply to any market condition be it today, five years from now or five years ago.
The only reason why I disagree with him about the dominant brands argument is because of covid. There are brands that I have not been able to buy in my supermarket or drugstore because of disruptions in supply chains. I absolutely would buy Lysol if I could find it. I have had to try brands I had never tried before because I cannot find certain products anywhere. I have also seen brands I have never seen before because my local chain supermarket when they cannot get big name cleaning products or bottled water they cannot just not carry cleaning products or water.
Brilliant, insightful and forward-thinking Scott Galloway completely missed Tesla because he probably didn’t subscribe to enough UA-cam channels like Zach and Jesse’s “Now You Know: Tesla Time News” UA-cam channel.
Great insight provided by Prof Scott. Just would recommend the P&G moderator reconsider the offensive Charlie Hebdo cartoon in his background. Show respect to your customers, P&G products are sold all over the world. Not a good look for their brand
Scott Galloway is the smartest guy in any room!

Look at the number of the news Robinhood traders and how they’re correlated with the price of Tesla
