Hands down Great Britain produced the sexiest warbirds during WWII.
The first 20 minutes of Spitires, Hurricanes and Buchons was 20 minutes of pure joy ! The sight of the planes, the sound of the engines, set against that perfect blue 'Battle of Britain' Autumn Sky was just incredible. Possibly one of the best flying sequences I've ever seen !
on your tail jamie
The whole show was just beautiful. Wow, these birds take my breath away. And I am a Yank!
eagle Squadron
Very enjoyable indeed thank you. And cobblers to the moaning about the shutter speed!!
Thank you for your kind words
the best sound and sight of these iconc aircraft a salute to the few!
I was there and it was amazing, the feeling of 15 spitfires passing you is amazing
Holy crap I've never seen so many spitfires in my life
Beautiful collection! Heaven 😍😊👍
Love the sounds of the Merlins, even from the German fighters.
Thank you so much this great video fantastic
You’re more than welcome pleased you enjoyed it
Amazing video and wow wow i wish i had been there.
Wow amazing
Great video,so many amazing planes👌😀👍
Very cool!
Thank you for posting this ,it is appreciated. If i could make a couple of hopefully constructive comments that may help.Practice when you get the chance somewhere with a prop plane using about 1/50 th of a second shutter speed ,it helps the props move more naturally, try different speeds see what works.Try to use manual focussing most the time infinity or close to it will cover most of it ok ,auto focus tends to hunt when it loses the subject [once again just practice when it is quiet]. . Gentle slooooow panning when possible .If you do have an external microphone socket you can get relatively cheap microphones BUT get a wind cover for it.Good luck and most of all have fun :)
Thank you for this I will try your tips I had not realised the shutter speed would affect the way the props appear I thought it was frame rate. I do use a Rode external mic with a dead cat but it still seems to catch the wind.At the min I use a bridge with a cmos sensor is there a better option so I don’t get this prop effect or is it just down to the settings
I was there in the grandstand seats it was awesome
0:36 just like a scene from the BofB film.
When are we going to see a Buchon in Spanish markings?
'Plane Porn!
Thanks for posting!
Wow. A schwarm of ME's, albeit Spanish ones. Probably hasn't been seen since 1968.
These 1112s do not sound quite right without the Damiler-Benz engine
Rolls Royce Merlin, same engine used in p51 mustang and British planes like spitfires mosquitoes and lancasters. They don't sound like Daimler benz
All those planes should be in New Ridley Scott WW2 battle of Britain movie
That is a very good record of some of the air show. It looks like it was recorded on the Saturday from the look of the sky and the weather. I was there working. People attending on the Sunday were less fortunate with the weather. In addition to the flying there were many other attractions such as 1940s music and dancing in one of the hangers, stalls selling related memorabilia, rides in FV432 armoured personnel carriers, and full access to all the museum exhibits of aircraft, including Concorde, and the Land Warfare Hall containing a large number of tanks, guns and trucks. The museum is open every day except Christmas, but we will have to wait until May 2020 for the next air shows.
Nice footage! What camera do you use?
Thank you. I used a Nikon p1000 bridge camera
Ive been there on that day
Aren't the Bbmf allowed to mix in with the civilian registered planes?
Not sure they flew with the Canadian lanc and the Vulcan but other than that I have only ever seen them fly with other RAF types so possibly so
why don't they advertise these shows nationwide?
They don't really need to both days were a sell out but if you want to keep up to date with whats going on where and when UK airshow calendar is what I use www.air-shows.org.uk/2019/06/uk-airshow-calendar-2020/
0:02 one of the ha 1112s have 4 blades and 0:36 0:35
Thanks, but the prop blades look stupid as if they have engine problems, our eyes dont see them like that, you need to know how to film such, use a shutter speed of 1/50 ! dont put the camcorder on automatic, give it the shutter that suits 1/50, you may need a ND filter or dial it in if camcorder has such.
Thank you for your advice.I always thought it was about frames per second so I will give it a try :-)
Bob Charles why don’t you just enjoy the video and these incredible machines smartass!
Crap camera work distorting propeller motion time to get back to the old trusty non digital cameras
Thank you for your constructive criticism it’s all a learning curve when you do it for fun as a hobby
