    Thank you Chris Hayes for conducting a respectful interview with a very respected author. Your colleague Jonathan Lemire could not show him the same respect yesterday. Tony Dokoupil on CBS Morning crossed the line into overt racism, while actually justifying apartheid & segregation. It's good to know some people still have ethics in this industry.

      I would not have believed what Dokoupil did until I saw it for myself --- entirely unjustifiable and abhorrent. Had I committed a similar lack of judgment in my own work, I would not keep my job.

    Thank you, Chris. Intelligent conversation, honest guest. Ari missed that today and gave a platform to dispicables.

    • @andreagreen1817
      @andreagreen1817 4 години тому

      I understand what you are saying about Ari’s show today, but I appreciate his demonstrating for us that the Trump-washed mind cannot be slowed or altered by even facts in their faces. His panel included a woman who is clearly rethinking her Trump allegiance, one man who knowingly and painfully tried to justify his position on Jan. 6 in light of some menagerie of presently held policy positions, and the completely incorrigible and indefatigable Peter Navarro.
      I think MSNBC cannot surrender its news platform in the name of simply amplifying those voices agreeable to its audience - it would then be “entertainment news.” I, for one, would likely not hear these differently-opinioned” people otherwise.

    It's like refusing an apology because the apologizer didn't use the exact wording you wanted to hear, even if they screamed their apology in the public square while flogging themselves half-naked. He wrote what he wrote from his perspective. As a writer, he has a right to do so. Likewise, another writer has a right to do the same. What's fascinating to me is the attitude that he didn't have a right to express his experience. Chris Hayes got it right.

    It’s important to interview everyone and hear everyone’s side. However, this does not mean they are right.
    Unfortunately, those of us who do not live in the middle in an isolated country from surrounding neighbors who wish for your destruction, there will be some sort of pessimism towards those people in those surrounding countries.
    For the record, Lebanon has treated Palestinians poorly. Why are they not called an apartheid state.

    • @Adriana04101

      Oh darling, go and learn some history... If you haven't heard by now, the "chosen ones" arrived from Europe y America claiming that God gave them that land, so they stared their etching cleansing of Palestinians, libanese, Egyptians, Syrians and even Jordan! Needles to say, the European jews (the original jews lived side by side with Christian and Muslims) weren't fully successful with zionist colonial movement in etching cleansing everyone at once, nor stealing their land. Before the zionist colonized the area, you could find things written in Hebrew and Arabic, and no one was discriminate depends on their religion.
      So, why don't you talk about the desire of Israel to etching cleansing of arabs in the region??
