Yeah I agree with all of this!! I’m trying to finally make it as an independent artist myself, after 6 years of seriously trying to break into the storyboarding industry in LA, and years of administrative day jobs. I’ve been in instagram for years but I finally decided to make a UA-cam this year. I’m very excited for it! Keeps me going even when I’m at my boring day job.
This video is so informative even though I am not an artist 😂 I work as a system admin and I watch Life After Layoff too! Even traditional 9-5 “safe” jobs no longer offer the same stability as they did before so it’s important to focus on personal branding, networking, and multiple streams of income so we are better prepared to take on our next opportunity
I use a Samsung Tab s7 for all my digital art with Clip Studio. I would wholly recommend it, especially if you can't afford the apple price tag. It has similar quality at almost half the price!
Love this! UA-cam scares me a bit haha. I’ve also found doing more local events, galleries, and networking has helped a ton in my art business! That totally depends on where you live though 😅
Great tips girl. I'd only say that information on podcasts constantly changes. Whenever I use some of their tips, 6 months later, something else makes those tips harder. It's like whenever society hears new methods for artists and animators to strive and make a living, the platforms sometimes make it more difficult for us. I'm pretty sure it's because once the majority start doing it, things have to change. I've heard that the CPN is not that great for artists and now brands want you to be open to everyone or stylized when we artists WANT to be niche to artists. The admin information is def something we artists should stay on top of.
When I saw your newly released video thumbnail, my heart skipped a beat ❤ Thank you for all you post and contribute to the lives of artists! 😊 Also, ur short hair is beautiful
Thank you for the informative video. I don’t even expect you need to hire persons like accountants and agents lol, i expected all independent artists have to deal with contracts themselves 😅
Ohh hmm it worked for me? But try this instead! www.amazon.com/shop/mewtripled/list/2UD74OE9EGS2F?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfmewtripled_0K331F3AGA94QHA3776P
So I have a huge question: can AI steal traditional work if it can steal digital? (done on paper and pen instead of digitally on the internet) I always wondered this because unless you upload a scanned version of the art traditionally drawn, the AI probably can't steal it
hey... i just wondering how to become an artist of comic con, i have seen a lot of artist draw some marvel characters on the spot and signing some autogrhaps and many of them can travel all around the world. thats what im trying to do now, do you have any knowlege about that?
I mentioned ecommerce platforms you can use on your own website, etsy, patreon, shopify, and youtube! And if you want clients or to work with big boy companies, agents and managers!
I think UA-cam is safer, I feel like if I post on Instagram my work will just be ripped by AI.....
You’ve been providing so much valuable information recently, and I seriously appreciate it.
Thanks!! I try!!
This!!
Saving artist careers one day at a time ❤

Definitely iPad! It's hard for me to work at home because I get distracted with housework too easily. iPad allows me to work in cafes. :)

The platforms definitely mix up their algorithms a lot. It's a neverending game.
Thank you so much for this video 💜 extremely helpful so many products in one video I wouldn’t even have thought of a teleprompter 😮

I’ve been wondering what brand that overhead mount is for a while now.👀✨

@@mewTripled YAY! It works now.😁👍
The sponsor's name choice is treading on thin ice
Does the over head camera mount work if you decide to do a lightbox animation with it or a stop motion paper cut out puppet?
