Protestant most of my life. Since discovering Dr. Kreeft and yourself, I've developed a strange new interest in Catholicism. Thanks for posting, this was brilliant.
Still Searching? Or have you swam the Tiber already? Many more excellent Catholic Speakers to investigate. Scott Hahn, Steve Ray. Trent Horn. Catholic Answers. The list is basically Endless. After studying deep in history roughly 5 + years. My Bride and I Converted from Protestant to Roman Catholic. United Stated btw. Peace be with you and Blessed is the Journey ❤️🙏🏻📿
Absolutely my favorite philosopher (apologist) I love this man. What's even more fantastic, is that he has influenced my son to seek an education for the glory of Christ. My son will have his BA when he's 20. Dr. Kreeft is the motivation for that. He needs to be highlighted (guest) on every new apologist's UA-cam channel. And I'm a surfer too.
I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Kreeft a couple years ago at a pro life conference, really nice guy. When I first reverted back to Catholicism his book, Prayer for Beginners, was what started me on my journey to a deeper prayer life.
I'm Protestant myself, but recently I was perusing his books "How to destroy a Civilization" and "Catholics and Protestants: what we can learn from each other".
25:35- Lord of the Rings 26:20- Brothers Karimozov 34:22- Vatican II 49:49- A Grief Observed (for widows) 1:23:02- Sts. Augustine & Aquinas 1:27:19- Pascal
Dr. Kreeft is totally awesome! He came and gave a speech at our university not too long ago. We took him to BK, played chess with him (he whooped me twice in less than 5 minutes), and he told us he loved to surf. He also left his beanie with us on accident. Glad you had him on the show, keep the awesome guests/interviews coming, Matt! God Bless!
That interview was fantastic! The discussion was delightful. Mr. Kreefts answers were so rich and insightful. But the part I liked best was your own transparency Mr. Fradd and love for Jesus which is apparent in every video you make. God bless you and thanks for all you do.
Matt Fradd is such an incredible interviewer in that he is so open to allowing his guest to go wherever he likes and he just comes right along with him. There is never a dull moment and if there is an ever so slight lull, Matt jumps right in with his quick wit and consequently we are beneficiaries and can sit back and enjoy!! Thanks Matt!!
I love Peter Kreeft and have been listening to him for years. I just subscribed to Matt. I’m not sure why I’m sharing this...Thanks for this amazing guest Matt!
Wow, Peter Kreeft is a delightful person, full of life, joy, and wonder - like a child. I became a philosophy major after reading his Love is Stronger than Death. Such a profound little book from a profound soul. By the way, I downloaded both of your sponsor’s items - thank you for all you do.
Listening 2 years later. PK is amazing and as always Matt does an amazing job with his interviewing. It's really like having the privilege of sitting in on a fabulous chat between 2 men who seem to have a lot of commonality. Love being able to listen as I go about my homemaking. Always so good to listen to honorable men. We need more men like these 2. I found myself wondering what Peter would say about the future at this point 2 years of the Plandemic
By far, one of the best interviews I've ever seen on both sides. Matt you did a fabulous job here because you knew your guest so well and Dr. Keeft? Man. He's truly a brilliant and talented man. God bless you both. I was truly blessed having the opportunity to tune in. Nailed it at 41:22 when he speaks about prayer and the will.
Okay, y'all. What's your favorite Peter Kreeft quote? I'll start. "Our culture thinks the Church views sex the way airports view smoking: 'if you have to do it, at least do it in there.'"
Paraphrasing, but when he was a child he said to his father he said something like, "If the Catholics are wrong, then why are their churches so beautiful?"
I recently came back to the Catholic Church after attending non-denominational churches for several years, God used both of you to help with that! Peter Kreeft is one of my favorite writers, philosophers, and apologists, it was a joy listening to your delightful conversation with him!
This was refreshing after listening to the T. Gordon interview. Gordon honestly stressed me out but Kreeft reminded me of the joy of Catholicism and inspired me to pray the rosary after avoiding it for a couple of days.
miguel O Are you suggesting that people only disliked the Gordon interview because they can’t handle the truth? I disliked it because of his snide, repeated comments about chubby women and such. I didn’t get very far into the interview for that reason alone. When you insult someone’s appearance, the strength of your actual argument is easily overlooked. I sincerely hope that he doesn’t speak or think that way regularly and that he made errors in judgment that day.
Thank you, Matt!!! Peter Kreeft is terrific. Loved the interview. Was glued to the computer for the entire duration of your program. Did not mind doing so for over 2 hours. See if you can line up other superminds. Congratulations on your show.
Peter Kreeft is the best philosopher in the world! I wish there were more access to his works in Argentina. I´ve read a lot and I make my high school students read. They also love his writings!
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview! Thank you for acknowledging and distinguishing the general, yet truthful difference between men and women. I'd love to meet Peter Kreeft at some point in my life. I wish I'd have been a student in his philosophy class on Augustine.
Awesome! You talked to Peter as I would like to and his willingness to go along with everything and provide his insight was excellent! Thank You. I've subscribed, and God Bless
Dear Matt, Just wanted to point out how funny it is that you said that the Eastern Orthodox get angry when you nail things down. I was amused and I think Jesus would have been too. Best interview ever, will be watching this multiple times. We had puppies at my college when Trump got elected too, and one of my teachers paused opening class to ask if anyone needed to talk it out, "Are you okay? Does anyone need to talk?" So being sensitive and docile, I raised my hand and said I voted for Trump. I also hung out with the puppies, because they're the very best.
Love the App Hallow and Love You And The Good Dr Peter Kreeft. Binge watch both of you Guys! Appreciate what y’all do for the Church. Ave Maria! Viva Cristo Rey! ❤️🙏🏻📿
Oh, what an amusing time I had with these two! Throughout my cooking and washing they kept me company with the most entertaining yet thought provoking exchange. It's my first exposure to this greatly-revered man Dr. Peter Kreeft. I found myself smiling and chuckling especially in the last half hour. 😄☺❤❤❤
We're so indebted to Dr. Kreeft. He came and gave a talk to 5 young adults starting a group in Boston. As we learned about his reputation, we became only more embarrassed at how few people we had back then. It grew up into a rather sizable group and learned a lot about the Lord's will and ministry in the church, but we still remain embarrassed about that first meeting.
Matt, this started out super weak. But as you said at the beginning, at about the 20 minute mark you turned a corner and it became one of my favorite interviews with one of my living Catholic heroes. Well done.
I so enjoy Dr Kreeft -- even more when I found out he at least thinks its possible that our pets end up in heaven with us. As he so eloquently puts it, "Why not?". Also, as an introvert myself who dreads small talk -- I consider it a part of Catholic charity and love of neighbor to make it as I notice it puts many at ease and it makes a small human connection if you cheerfully do it while waiting in line or with the clerk at a store. And as much as I want to hide away at parties, again, I can help others feel more comfortable if I can reach out to them and converse with them. So, as uncomfortable as I find it -- I see it as a charitable act.
It's interesting to hear Dr. Kreeft's opinion of the future for the Church. It reminds me of the essay written by, at the time , Father Joseph Ratzinger.
My favorite books that I hope you read are The Chosen by a Chaim Potok, The Robe by Lloyd Douglas and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brönte. They make the argument for patience with others who hurt you, which is an important part of being virtuous I think.
I was raised Baptist/Alliance so learned from the King James Version Bible. I love the beauty of the language there. I read other translations but always return to the KJV.
I didn’t have a near physical death experience but I mostly certainly did have a near spiritual death experience. I almost gave up on bothering with living. Not suicidal but I had nearly resigned to just putting head down and refusing to care anymore.
This conversation was a delight! Possibly the best on the internet - just wonderful (except the bits about baseball and soccer/football - that's not cutting it for this old Brit)!! Still, I'm gonna get me some Kreeft books now!
I didn't think I could appreciate Dr. Peter Kreeft any more...until I heard him confess that he has a soft spot in his heart for farters...and the reason why!
finally, a good interview with a brilliant and kind guest, and not some catholic rad trads/reactionaries. God bless you and more guest like Dr. Kreeft in your next shows.
"Vain curiosity, which is a vice, is arrogant. It wants to know everything: it plays God. Whereas humble curiosity is just the search for truth and that's just honesty; that's a virtue."
Wow Matt..I have been watching your more recent videos..with the beard! I have to say I prefer you without...you look years younger and you can see your handsome face! Also...I love Peter Kreeft! He does a great job explaining angels!
As someone who has been attracted to Catholicism but repelled by its Modernist distorters for 25 years (enough so to stay away), I find Kreeft’s hand-waving about the very serious issues of Vatican 2 and its consequences to be glib and unsatisfying.
Protestant most of my life. Since discovering Dr. Kreeft and yourself, I've developed a strange new interest in Catholicism. Thanks for posting, this was brilliant.

I hope you’re still interested!
I am a Lutheran who became Catholic. Matt Fradd and Peter Kreeft, you two played no small part in my conversion. ❤️🔥
Protestant most of my life too. Since discovering Thomas Paine, I've developed a strange new interest in Deism.
Hopefully, one day something leads you back to Jesus.
Peter Kreeft has all the best quotes.
He’s a freak’in encyclopedia!♥️😂🙏🏻
Kreeft's writings helped steer me away from protestantism, will always be grateful for that!
Whoa, you got p Kreeft on your show.
Respect.

Not Catholic at all... but love Kreeft's work. Great interview!

I love the books of Dr. Kreeft. I write poetry, and wrote one based on one of Dr. Kreeft’s books which I found particularly touching.
Amazing dialogue. Thank you. What joy Dr Kreeft has on his face!

I loved this interview so much that I took notes!! Which meant pause and rewind LOL!
This was refreshing after listening to the T. Gordon interview. Gordon honestly stressed me out but Kreeft reminded me of the joy of Catholicism and inspired me to pray the rosary after avoiding it for a couple of days.
Notice how his pace is slower now with Kreeft. Puzzles me.

Ok, now you got my attention. Well done Matt, keep it going. I want Peter Kreeft to be my granddad or my teacher, i get so engaged when he talks..

That short story Kreeft mentioned is called 'The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas' by Le Guin.

Thanks much for this video.
I have a couple books by him, and I've seen a little of him on UA-cam and liked him...But now I really, really like him! Good interview, Matt Fradd!
