Thanks for your video! I got an 824SBT at a yard sale for about nothin' (it was in a box with a bunch of junk knives). I knew Benchmade was a good brand and I figured USA made was a good indication of quality, but it is fun to learn more from you. Have a good one!
Thanx.. I just found mine.. I bought it at a little knife shop in gearhart oregon.. Where I grew up.. I lost it for all theses years... It looks brand new!!! Yeehaw
I bought mine back in February 2000 at a knife shop in Budapest, Hungary. It has been my go-to edc knife for almost 20 years. The blade stays insanely sharp and it carries really easy.
I own one of these, and actually flew on a plane with it at Christmas 1999. Airport security told me to put it in my carry-on and not take it out. Yes sir. Times have changed.
i found this knife on the laying open on the street today. it is pretty banged up but i feel really lucky. i can definitely fix the blade. the handle is torn up a bit from being outside on the concrete though...
Found one of these with a slightly broken tip on the ground when I was like 14. Reground the tip to be pointy on my dads grinder. I beat the hell out of it back then. I didn’t know what I had and wish I didnt lose it.
Thank you! I just bought the same knife off ebay and I was confused why it said bali-song instead of benchmade and everytime I looked up bali song I could only find was butterfly knives.
Awesome story! My pawn shop is now schooled because I took them to the cleaners. Got a zt 620 for $100, benchmade 755mpr $75, benchmade puukko $75. Now they all sell them close to below retail.
Just found mine recently in a box in my attic. It is missing the pocket clip, but otherwise in great shape. I just emailed Benchmade to see if they will mail me a clip. I used to carry it a lot back in the early 2000s. Very light and tough knife. The original Bugout?
@Sweetknives Agreed. But this one is all I could get my hands on recently. Still seeking the original 800 AFCK. Unobtainable second hand nowadays for me. At least the blades are the same.

I still have mine from brand new, and I still love her just as much
Bought one of those new, was my EDC for about 10 years till I lost the clip. Still have it but now it lives in my toolbox.
I just purchased a decent condition Benchmade Eclipse/Ascent on Ebay today (along with 6 other knife lots including a 1st generation Spyderco Delica).

Still have my ATS-34. Just got it back from warranty service for a few screws and cleaning, sharpening all gratis! Love this knife!!
I just picked one of these for $1 at an estate sale. It is nice little knife.

Going to pick one of these up. It’ll be 154cm. I really wish it was ats-34 though.

Did Benchmade send you a clip because I’m in the same boat
@@PonYo240 They emailed me back and had me call customer support. I have 2 clips on the way. Customer support was very....supportive.
@@dramedaygood to know thanks! :)
Model 830S Ascent. Catalog price in `99 was $55.
I like the ATS-34 steel, but not the plastic handle so much... but it was a lot cheaper than the G10 back then.

I just found mine in my storage but I am missing a clip. Mine has a black blade.
I just bought one at a pawnshop about an hour ago for $45 lol
Still a good knife… makes you wonder what they bought it for
