I like mine quite a bit i did change out the grips to a wrapped around rubber grip and put on a Wilson combat one piece full length rod i got the model u have its a really nice 45
@@AustinArmory o ok nice! I got a ruger sr1911 all stainless it was a used gun i neeeded a stainless 45 i mostly have two tone 1911s and one blued one which is my garrison
@@ctsmith9225 That’s awesome my friend! I don’t have any ruger 1911s yet! I remember when I first saw the Garrison in the blued finish I wasn’t sure how much I liked it then it really started to grow on me!
It’s a really great pistol I love it! Really gives that classic feel but with some more modern upgrades! Springfield did a great job on this one and I have yet to have any issues mechanically with it. However I did notice that i used it one day put it in the safe and it almost had the start of some surface rust! I’m not sure if It was my fault if the sweat from my hands did it or what but I was able to just get some oil and clean it off but just something I would pay close attention to I have never had that issue with any gun of mine but it’s also the only gun I own in the blued finish. Not really sure what happened there. Other than that great gun!
I'm assuming this was the 45 not the 9mm, don''t think I heard you say which one. A forged frame can be made of aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel.

looks like a nice 1911.
I only have a couple 1911s and so far it’s become my favorite! The steel frame really helps with the recoil compared to the aluminum framed 1911s
