I do steampunk and my favorite skirts come from thrift stores. One is a black very full skirt with trim and lace, probably a dance performance dress, and the other is also a full skirt that is by a designer brand but was pink. Otherwise it was perfect. I dyed it purple, and it happened to perfectly match my purple parasol. It's crazy what people discard and donate.
OMG! That was soooo much fun!! I haven't watched Stephanie's video yet. I'm going there next. I wondered, for a moment, if the orange polka dot skirt was reversible, but probably not. I loved the blue skirt and top combo. I wish Stephanie had tried it on for us. You gals have a wonderful friendship, and I wish you many years of sharing and having fun. See you next time. 😊😘🤗💖👍👋
Aww thanks! I would have liked to see her try on the other outfits too, but I think she knew from the moment she saw it that she was going with the orange.
The orange outfit looked good. It would be fun to see if you can find something from a second hand shop and rework it to something different. eg skirt to pants, or dress to skirt. Could also be fun to see you try to find something second hand and rework it into a vintage look or something
That would have worked for a true redhead. 👍 The blue outfit I was surprised when Stephanie held it up to herself as I thought it went well with her skin tone!
I have been watching Opera Singer Canada for months now. A drama queen after my own heart! I am not so concerned with making dresses as making and innovating ponchos from silk scarves or pillowcases. I have 3 sewing machines! I love dresses that are jumpers. I am following you since you are friends with Ms. Canada!
That was so much fun--what a blast! Amazons take over the thrift store! :D I'm off to check out Stephanie's channel, because fellow tall-plus folks. Whee!
Yes! The orange outfit is great! I thought both of you got great stuff. It was so fun to see you two together! I have been watching you, Rebecca, for a couple of years now, but I only found Stephanie a couple months ago I think. Fun treat!
I love these outfits! It'd be so much fun to go with one day. You're right about Washington prices though, WHEW! Prices are getting to be like that in Phoenix but I know a lot of the small places in my town.
Tbh, I tend to only shop at value village because they have the best plus size selection. But I think the other places are probably pretty comparable in price here unfortunately.
We mainly have small charity shops locally, and you have to aim for the correct ones. Eg i was having coffee with a friend and wanted sheets etc for mock up fabric. I went in 6 shops in that town and not a single sheet to be seen, they were like little boutiques!
Loved this video and the orange outfit! I was my favorite, too. I wish I could have gone with you ladies - I'm 5' 10" and plus size, and am amazed at the cute things you found.
Thanks! I find that this value village is always pretty great on selection for plus size tops, but it was nice to find some dress and skirt options there this time too!
The orange is super cute! Plus the skirt has pockets! There is no Value Village where I live but there is a thrift store called Ecco Thrift which is very similar. The Goodwill is crazy expensive now, but there is a small thrift store connected with a hospice that is great.
I wish she had tried on the other two outfits just to see. Sometimes, as we all know, things look different on the hanger than on the body. The orange outfit is cute tho!
I love your thrift shopping for each other. Sadly, all the local thrifts in my area pour so much smelly softener in their clothing that never comes out no matter what I use. I can never wear them.
I saw someone in the comments on another video suggesting to soak garments from the thrift store in baking soda and water, and someone else suggesting vinegar and water soaks. They were talking about getting the more traditional "thrift store smell" out, rather than scented products, but maybe one of those techniques would still work?
This is my first video of either of you and I would LOVE to wear either of your shopping outfits. I havent even gotten to your shopped outfits yet. Did y'all make your dress and her overalls?
A very cute outfit indeed, it just "fits" her so well with the orange! That said, it BAFFLES me that you did not know the final price before the checkout. I am from Germany. So far I have visited Austria, Switzerland and France. Every single time I went shopping in my life the taxes had already been included in the price tag. I mean... why would you not? Why stress people out if they even have enough money to buy the things they want / need to? If it is to force people to practice their math skills there are better methods methinks XD I love your channel, I really do. But sometimes I just sit here and wonder "US... are you ok?"
Yeah, we're not okay over here, but for so many other different reasons (like lack of healthcare or vanishing human rights). Adding the taxes in is a minor inconvenience, esp here in WA where it's an even 10%.
@@LadyRebeccaFashions Healthcare even in Germany has gotten worse over the last 10 or 15 years. Every time I run into an argument with my insurance I just think "Keep calm, it's not like in the US, not like in the US..." So yeah, your healthcare system (or lack thereof) is infamous.
Here is the 'get rich app' idea for someone smarter than me. Dating sites are passe'. What I need is a Shopping Friend match up. None of my friends want to shop the way and the times I do! None. A dating style match up could really make my shopping life more fun!
Now, you to need to switch this and Lady Rebecca needs to come down to Florida and see the prices there! In your rules for this collaboration challenge, could you alter the clothes? In my area, I don’t find many large size clothes at all. Also, Thrift store have been closing down around here last couple years.
I don't think we specified that we couldn't alter things, but we also wanted it wearable by the end of the video. And Stephanie and I met up at Disney World when I was there a couple years ago (she has a tiny cameo in this video: ua-cam.com/video/phQuekbVELk/v-deo.html), but we didn't have a chance to go thrifting there.
Check out Stephanie's video here: ua-cam.com/video/0Gb28Z9Z3yI/v-deo.html
Love the orange outfit! The dots on the skirt are to die for!
My two favourite UA-cam creators doing a collab. Cant get much better than this.
Aww yay! 😊
You two are having far too much fun together, and probably shouldn't be allowed out without supervision ...
...
... I am so jealous.
Is it really a challenge if it's more like friends hanging out than a competition? Too fun!
I've always loved the. "I'm broke but we want to hang out and get something cute challenge"! It keeps you sane on a tight budget.
Orange is her new color! Wow! Looks fabulous 😍🧡🧡🧡

Two of my favorite gingers. Welcome to the other coast, Stephanie!!
Awesome I love the outfit she chose at the end!
The orange ensemble was my fave right from the get-go!
A “weird dichotomy” describes this video too. Lots of fun. Glad you two could link up.
Yayayayayayay!
The collab I didn't know I needed and I'm so glad it happened. And if y'all head near Olympia, please let me buy you a tasty beverage.
Thanks! It's funny - I know I'm close to Olympia, but I think I've maybe been there twice?
When you held up the orange outfit I thought, nawww, but oh my goodness it was absolutely adorable. Good job.
The skirt fits Stephanie like it was made for her! Brava, Lady! brava!
Right? It was perfect!
Omg, as soon as Stephanie slipped that top over hear head I was like "Yeeesss" Orange is totally her color! ❤
Right? I'm always surprised by how many people say they never do orange.
Came here from Stephanie’s channel. Had a blast seeing both of your outfits.
Thanks!
same here..

Great thrift challenge! So much fun 😊
This collab is fantastic ❤
Absolutely a home run video.
I loved seeing the two of you collab on this as I subscribe to both of your channels. Both outfits are rock stars IMO!
What a fun video! I really love the orange outfit. It’s very lively. ❤

I love them all, but the purple combo was my favorite.
That would have worked for a true redhead. 👍 The blue outfit I was surprised when Stephanie held it up to herself as I thought it went well with her skin tone!
Yeah, I found it interesting that she doesn't do light blue, but then again, I'm probably biased as that's one of my favorite colors!

Orange is not a color I could pull off, but it looks so good on Stephanie!! Great job!!
That was so much fun--what a blast! Amazons take over the thrift store! :D I'm off to check out Stephanie's channel, because fellow tall-plus folks. Whee!
THE ORANGE 2 PIECE IS ALRIGHT !!!
So cute! I love the color, and it's super inspiring to go try something new from the thrift store. Not that I need more reasons to go thrifting... 😆
I LOVE THIS OUTFIT you rocked it Rebecca. My favorite two girls are friends yes.
Thanks! 😊
Yes! The orange outfit is great! I thought both of you got great stuff.
It was so fun to see you two together! I have been watching you, Rebecca, for a couple of years now, but I only found Stephanie a couple months ago I think. Fun treat!
How fun! The orange outfit looks great on Stephanie. Well done.
Two fun redheads. I already watch both your channels and I greatly enjoyed this video with you both in it. And hers!
Thanks! 😊
Happy to see yoi know eachother !

The belt with silver animals on it would be perfect for an Animal Kingdom outfit
Very true!
Jeans
Love your outfits. So fun.
I hope you grabbed that "Florida approved" dress too. It had such a good look and just needed a little fixy on the size.
We didn't. We were both going for things that wouldn't need alterations.
The orange outfit was a stellar find but oh my god that purple skirt. I have a MIGHTY NEED.
I wish it had fit me! I tried it on afterwards, but it was just too slim around the hips for my style.
Guys, this was AWESOME ! Enjoyed both videos ❤
Yay, thanks!
No squirreling away stuff for yourself?! I just could NOT do that. 🤔🤨😟 You ladies are awesome!
You both looked like you had tons of fun. Awesome outfits.
Thanks! It was fun!
You should absolutely wear it with the overalls underneath because the yellowlegs with the print just kills😂😂😂
Fantastic orange outfit, the skirt is the best.
Stephanie- you look great in orange!
Seeing you two together definitely put a smile on my face!
The orangebird!
The orange outfit looks good on you, Steph!
This was so fun. I was hoping she chose the orange!
Thanks! Part of me was hoping she wasn't, so I could have bought it! 😉
What fun. That looks great!
OMGOODNESS!! I’m SOOOOOOO jelly you guys got to hangout!! So much fun! Love you guys!!
Thanks! We had fun together!
I LOVE the orange outfit!!!
Great. To see u and your pal having so much fun😊
What cute finds! This was such a fun project.
Love that purple skirt!

Oh, I hate those types. We have those here too, but I never shop there.
Two of my favorite creators together!
Aww yay!
I'm crying over that Jessica London dress lol I need it. I'mma have to track that down online
It was really pretty. I kept thinking, Stephanie, you SEW! You could take it in!
Yeah, it was cute! I hope you can find it!
I love the outfit you picked for her so cute xx
Loved you two girls.
Yay! two of my favorite people 😃
Aww yay! 😊
Love this! I've challenged my sister to this mission!
Great outfits, both of you!
Great fun video! 🤗
Orange polka dots yesss!
I need a belt with silver animals...
I know where you can find one! 😉
@@LadyRebeccaFashions Might be a good excuse to head up WA way

You both did good ❤️
You two are great together!!
Thanks! We had a lot of fun!
That's so cute! Well done 👏
An excellent duo!
found you from Stephanie's YT, subbed! So much fun, love the orange polka dot skirt! Wow! $20 doesn't go as far as it used to holy moly!
Welcome! And yeah, I feel like even just 4-5 years ago, $20 went way further at the thrift store!
If you have red hair you have to embrace orange. It makes our hair pop.
A cute belt on the orange would look great!
Love the outfit!

Value village is the same as Savers, if you happen to have one of those, too.
I wish she had tried on the other two outfits just to see. Sometimes, as we all know, things look different on the hanger than on the body. The orange outfit is cute tho!
Yep, it's true! But I think she knew right away she loved that orange outfit best.
Love the collab
Loved both outfits!
I really enjoyed this video 😊😊 thank you
Fun, fun.
I hope the red/oranges floral dress came home with one of you.
Unfortunately it was way too big on both of us.
That belt was cool
While I have bee following @LadyRebeccaFashions for a while now, She may have pointed me to a new channel that I must binge...Lovely outfits ladies!
She makes really fun videos! 😊
Is it just me or did Anne of green gables just inform a whole generation that red hair, natural and box is awesome

Very fun challenge
IT'S NOT TUESDAY OR SATURDAY!!!
OMG STEPHANIE CANADA!!!!
Haha, right? We compromised between our release times - a little late for her, and a little early for me.
Okay new subbie here and LOVE your vibe!! 🧡🧡🧡
