Episode 151 is amazing. Not only do we get one of the most satisfying punches in the series, but also an info dump of epic proportions. Edit: Your reaction to the Blackbeard reveal didn't disappoint. I think the reason his beard is only stubble right now, besides the obvious misdirection, is to convey that he is just getting started making a name for himself.

this is one of the best parts of One Piece. Its world is so freaking huge and things are always happening, regardless if we as the audience see it or not. Oda knows how to raise the stakes like no other author. Every time he reveals something new about this world it feels so epic and weighty.

黒髭or kurohige does translate as black beard but here in Japan, Hige is basically any facial hair like a mustache or beard or even a stubble or 5 o’clock shadow.
An interesting lil' bit of trivia: The Japanese word for beard doesn't translate the same from English. The same word can be used to refer to beard, mustache, and I believe sideburns (don't quote me on that last one). Basically, the word is the same as the English "Facial hair."

Regarding the fact that Whitebeard and Blackbeard don’t have beards. The name “Blackbeard”, the one that makes reference to the real life pirate, was translated in Japanese as “Black facial hair.” So when Oda introduced Blackbeard and Whitebeard to One Piece he just gave them facial hair of their respective color, because that’s what their name says in Japanese.
So 151 is the 'inbetween arcs' episode. They do this in every arc and let you know world stuff happening in response of what happened in the arc. It's my favorite part of one piece. Always be ready for the final episodes after the arc. You will always get a lot of lore dumps.

What's funny is Newton's third law comes into play. At least I think it's that one. When you're going extreme fast and then hit something so solid it instantly brings you from 100mph to 0 that does EVEN MORE damage to you.
It's why a simple looking accident for Dale Earnhardt was actually one of the most deadly accidents you can get into. 180mph to almost zero hitting the wall. It's not the speed that kills you, it's the sudden deceleration.
Well it's second law... Change in momentum with respect to time is what is called as force... It's been famous with a intresting deep line... When you get hit to a wall... Its not your speed that hurts you.. it's the result of getting stopped
Goated episode; world building is insane, introducing new characters that are important to the story, setting up for the future and bringing back other side characters seen so far. All of this before Bleach & Naruto anime even aired🤯

So to clear up some confusion on the "beard" thing for Whitebeard and Blackbeard... in Japanese their names are Shirohige and Kurohige (shiro meaning white and kuro meaning black). Hige means facial hair (there's no distinction between mustache, beard, or any other form of facial hair with this word).
Y’all’s interest in the story is clear, convincing and unequivocal. Wado Ichimonji was named and identified immediately. That makes watching y’all so satisfying. Thanks for a great reaction!
Words can’t describe how much I look forward to these. It’s genuinely impressive how attentive yall are and actually take in all the details. That, and: you guys convey the emotions brought on by the show’s storytelling perfectly to the point where I feel like I’m watching it for the first time again at times. There isn't a specific word for beard in Japan, it just refers to facial hair in general. He could have a mustache, mutton chops or a goatee, it would still be Shirohige (Whitebeard).
The storyline where Bellamy suspects Luffy and the others' bounties is cleverly designed. It indeed raises the possibility of fake bounty posters as Bellamy suggests, because high bounties are usually associated with remarkable deeds. However, there's another scenario: the wanted criminal has defeated a very powerful enemy, and the government is trying to cover up this news. Luffy just earned his 100 million bounty by defeating Crocodile, but Oda immediately shows us that Rockstar, a newcomer in the Red-Haired Pirates, already has a 94 million bounty, and Whitebeard doesn’t care at all, indirectly highlighting the strength of both.
@23:16 this!!! a lot of fans and reactors overlook this. a pirate with 90+ millions bounty is just a rookie in shank's crew. that shows how crazy his crew are.
He, and his crew, still have the best introduction so far in the series. The little scenes of the apparently skilled psychos around town who all seem to have something about destiny to say, the goofy scene and then speech about dreams showing us Teach and Luffy are opposite sides of the same coin. And then we find out they are a crew, their captain is the one Ace is hunting who also attacked Drum Island, they're trying to take Crocodiles vacant warlord seat, and leaving off with what is clearly them gearing up to go after Luffy for something now that they've learned the price on his head.
Girls, you don't hv any idea who this whitebeard man is...the ultimate legend... you'll be shocked to know about his history and his fighting abilities...
I love that last episode because it shows us how big the world is. Despite the fact that we mostly only follow Luffy's crew, many different things happen around the world at the same time. To me, this helps make the world of one piece alive.
Haylo was like "i want his face flattened on the floor"

these girls are so smart i cant wait for future arcs
All of this before Bleach & Naruto anime even aired🤯
the most observant series watchers ever - I admire that quality of you 2 😁
Bellamy, what a legend, love that character! I never thought I’d fall in love with this show let alone get through 900+ episodes when I started watching it a few years ago. At episode 920 now and just watching your reaction brings me so much joy seeing others enjoy it just as much!
Can we give props to these girls for actually paying attention to what's going on in front of their faces ?
my favorites right now
@@bensylver5113 go check Heatah and Hustla
So glad to see both of you talk about the rabbit hole of lore One Piece has and enjoy it. :)
Far and away, the best OP reaction channel I’ve ever seen
Hands down Blackbeard is one of my Fav Characters in One Piece
17:42 please don't confuse. He's called the strongest man in the world not pirate.
There isn't a specific word for beard in Japan, it just refers to facial hair in general. He could have a mustache, mutton chops or a goatee, it would still be Shirohige (Whitebeard).
21:45 blackbeard killed someone on whitebeard's crew and blackbeard was a member of the division ace commands so that's why ace is going after him
Dont spoil.. just let them know from episodes later.. be patient 😅
@@shawalmohamad90 Ace already mentioned it in alabasta
@@hewmat8758 oh yeah sorry

- Marshall D. Teach
You excitement is contagious! I gotta subscribe now.
I was cackling when Blackbeard showed up a few episodes ago, "oh, they're gonna scream when they hear who that is." I was not disappointed 😂😂😂
14:49 doffy walk, you can see shirohige (whitebeard) and kurohige (blackbeard)
One piece is gonna get wild from now on, Ep 151 is one of the best episodes of the series.
I didn't realise that they revealed so many important characters in the same episode until now.
@23:16 this!!! a lot of fans and reactors overlook this. a pirate with 90+ millions bounty is just a rookie in shank's crew. that shows how crazy his crew are.
seriously tought rockstar bounty is way too low for this crew haha . He probably was the water holder at that moment .
151 is one of the best OP episodes. Introducing a lot of presumably big characters and making this Show way bigger than you thought.
The famous episode 151 never disappoints
Post watch discussion was great, shows how much y’all are paying attention
Clicked as fast as I can
17:39 _HE'S _*_MASSIVE_*
The genuine awe. Awesome, btw, means half amazing, half terrifying.
BLACKBEARD HAS ARRIVED ! Cherry Pie Man was actually more important than you thought huh? 😅
This is the point in the story where the world starts to open up. Its a good idea you started taking notes. You'll need them haha.
It tells you something about how powerful Shank's crew is when a Pirate with a 94 Million Bounty is basically an apprentice to them.
Girls, you don't hv any idea who this whitebeard man is...the ultimate legend... you'll be shocked to know about his history and his fighting abilities...
Enter Blackbeard, my favorite character in One Piece. everything about his introduction is perfect.
A bit surprise they didn't put that punch as thumbnail and title, i mean that was one of iconic scene
I love that last episode because it shows us how big the world is. Despite the fact that we mostly only follow Luffy's crew, many different things happen around the world at the same time.
To me, this helps make the world of one piece alive.
I always forget how much lore is in those episodes
