This is such an informative video! I often see people do these videos far into their business career and they talk in such abstract terms, but you've said it better than anyone. I also love your voice, it's very soothing.
Keep going and good luck! :D

Thank you so much 😊 ❤ I wish someone told me those tips years ago, all those internet gurus were talking about how easy it is to make money online. Those are just simply not true. They like to hype people up and sell their course and unfortunately I have bought many of those

@@bigdogscloset 100% agree..., so often i started a business in the past for others ... you are alone ... might it be with design, planing, build a strategy, producing... i had always a hard time with business partners, because they are often very lazy, or only destructive with their comments. A small destructive comment, can really bring you out of your inner balance, and you start to doubt on your own, if it makes sense to go on, if it is the right design, if it is the right business, and so on. And true, your partner has it own life... The only like the result when its finished, but they don't want to work on it with the same passion as you. I love your video! Maybe one question, why do you not outsource some products? What i saw is, you come from China, so isn't it even easier for you to make this than for us Europeans? What i learned in MBA for entrepreneurs is, outsource fast, to come faster to the point where you are good at, that you can focus on it. In the beginning i know - i have to learn every step by my self to be able to understand the problems, be able to talk to my employees later and get also accepted from them, and understand their ideas. But in the end i want to lead the company. What keeps you away from this step? Is your favorite to produce by hand, or design or is it that you want to have everything under control? Some people need the control of everything i found out, and that they don't want to grow. Thanks for your video! Love your content!

I had many products made in China with my designs. Overall it's great however, there are some problems. First of all, it's long lead time. From design production to shipping. Air shipping is just too expensive. Second, you have to find a great manufacturer you can trust and do inspection before shipping out of China or you may risk receiving wrong or damaged goods. Third, you need a lot of money for larger orders and rooms to store all the goods. Of course there are many other pros and cons. So after all those troubles I decide to do lean production. But I still buy blanks like hoodies and shirts overseas

@@bigdogscloset I love your arguments!!! Absolute understandable why you do it. That are also my concerns, to have no control over the product anymore. Blanks for shirts and hoodies i am still looking ... I ordered some for $8 here, but hell that was not good... felt so cheap.

I love this!!! I do hope you make more of the longer videos...I don't like shorts. I'd like to know how long after you started making the doggie clothes did you invest in the embroidery machine and launch sweatshirts. Also, where do you see your business in 5 years? Many thanks & ALL THE BEST~

Thank you so much for commenting 😊 I like long videos too, I always listen to other business owners when I sew~ I got the big embroidery machine in 2022 and making sweatshirts become so easy with the big machine. Before the industrial embroidery machine I have a small flat home embroidery machine for many years and I found myself spending more time problem solving than making stuff with the machine. But it is a huge investment for me about 15k. The good thing about be your own boss is you can make the business as big or as small as you want. I can not get a regular 9 to 5 because my husband needs a lot doctor appointment and I have to drive him everywhere. No job can fit this kind of schedule. Now I have a 5 year old and homeschool him, again not really my #1 choice to homeschool. I like to keep my business small so I have time to take care of my family and also pay all the bills. Maybe when my son gets older I can scale up the business or even move out of the garage. Hope you have a woofday ~
