I wish many, many more people recognized how incredibly difficult that is to do, especially sustaining the note Matt did for THAT long. Only other rock singer that comes to mind that could sustain notes as long would be Chester Bennington (RIP). Chills every time for me!
I don't think you guys understand. I saw them live on that night when they played that and it was amazing. The entire damn show was. Undoubtedly the best and loudest concert I've ever seen!
Houston Newsome I thought that the majority of the people downtown were going to the game but I saw tons of people wearing their jerseys in the line that stretched both ways down a city block. It was unbelievably great
I was at this concert. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! In the middle of the concert he walked through the crowd and high fived people and even hugged somebody while he was singing Starlight!
what an awesome musical experience to have been there live. I may have been far in the back on one of those rental chairs, but it was still the best musical experience I've had in my life. the background graphics were phenomenal.
Andrew S Well, not quite preached. They've said that the don't aim to preach. I'm not sure taking a polite photo with a politician is quite a complete moral transformation but I see where you're coming from.
(Timmy Mynning) I've never heard him mention Noam Chomsky. In fact, if I did I would never listen to Muse again. This is a man (Chomsky) who (although a great linguist) has stated there is NEVER a need for a military. Educated idiot. (And I was there that night and it rocked.)
I'm so happy we were there when they recorded this video. This was my second Muse show and they are so amazing. One of the best live bands I have ever heard in my life. Can't wait to see them again in Atlanta tomorrow night!!
Came close to going to this show, but had a wedding that day... We went to the St.Louis show instead and it was amazing! Everyone needs to see Muse live!
even haters of this song must admit, that it's really good live. I like this song even more when it's played live. Looking forward to see it some time!
I have been waiting for a song that is basically saying you can get through it all and from hearing that it slowly helps me through stress and pain in my life and I would just like to say thank you muse for doing this my wish is to see you all someday....I hope it happens xoxoxo
You can always distinguish how good musicians are by their live performances. Muse consistently sounds so much better and more interesting than what they recorded in a studio.
I just saw them for the third time last night in Cincinnati and it was hands down the best show I've ever been to. There isn't anything quite like hearing Muse live!
I am growing to really love this, I always knew a live performance would give me that spiritual stir Muse provide. What I love most is that Muse make what they want, they are so true to their selves and infinitely powerful in all they do. 💓
It made me so happy to see this in my suggestions. This is the concert I went to and their performance was incredible, and it means a ton to me that this very moment of the show is immortalized on their channel in HD 😭❤
See? Bugs enjoy Muse just as much as us humans, they want a front row seat too! (Was at this show, that bug came back a few times to Matt's glasses during the set)🤣
The best thing about Muse audience is that most really wanna immerse themselves in the music in that moment. Few people are recording with their phones.
I believe we tend to rediscover the music we need most at precisely the right time in life. I’ve always been a big fan of Muse, but this song came to me out of the blue a week or so ago within my subconscious when I awoke with it playing on repeat within my dream. Heavy depression + super shitty life circumstances have had me in a horrid mental spot lately (along with most of the world)… this song was pulled from within the jukebox of my mind as I slept, it fell out upon my lips as I awoke… and I haven’t stopped singing it since. When you’re close to the edge, with a gun to your head, you must find a way.
Well there it is. As many people have duly noted, Muse are the best live band in the world by far. Loved this track when first heard it and now i have heard the "official" live, i love it more. That elongated note he hits is god like. As is the collective talent owned by the band. All other bands and or artistes, signed or no, go home. Retire. There's no point. Muse have got them all.
I wish people would stop bashing this song, sure it's not their best, but, somehow, meaning is in everything they make (except that one song let's not talk about it) and I love everything single one of their songs !
So I just wanna leave at least one positive comment in the sea of negative ones. I love Muse. They are my life and their music gives me an emotional high that nobody else can. But that's ME. Their music and their personalities really resonate with ME. If other people feel the same way about other artists, that's fine. But can we please accept that not everyone likes the same things? And not harass people on the Internet for what they like? And this song gives me such hope. I love it, I think it's beautiful. It helps to listen to it when I'm stressed or feeling down. But again, that's me. Other people may not feel the same way, and that's fine. But again, can we not argue about it? Thanks.
Is it just me or does anyone else tear up every single time listening to muse? I just love them so much and I'll support everything they'll bring out 🖤🖤🖤
I was in the audience near the stage that night and I confess "Dig Down" was an unreleased song for us so we had to just absorb it as a first listen. My favorite version of the song thus far is the one with the church chorus but the night was amazing! Entire set from that night (minus a couple of songs) is available on Spotify as a user playlist.
I saw them in Tampa for our anniversary. The first album I bought was Absolution back when I was 18. ( Back when you bought CD's) I've been in love ever since.
+Raaven Stark Real fans don't exist. Muse did acknowledged the fans calling themselves Musers, and the band totally approved it. So basically the fanbase is called Musers
well, at first I didn't really like this song, but all I had to do to change my mind, was to search the Live version. It's perfect!, they never disappoint when it comes to live performances ❤
i swear on my life, i will support every fucking thing that they do. who's coming with me?
me
even if they become sellouts, which will never happen anyway, I'll still listen to them.
That's some serious fanaticism
Geonova 100th like ;)
YEP
anyone who hasn't seen them live really needs to, they're amazing
The 10 second sing at 3:00 is one of the most audibly beautiful things I've ever experienced!!
indded i know what you mean
I wish many, many more people recognized how incredibly difficult that is to do, especially sustaining the note Matt did for THAT long. Only other rock singer that comes to mind that could sustain notes as long would be Chester Bennington (RIP). Chills every time for me!
@@theDegausser @siletnpilot833 Yeah, and all of it while play a guitar solo... he is amazing
Chris's harmonies and backing vocals are great in this
Shout out to the biggest Muse fan on earth; the green bug!!
This song sounds a lot better live than on record.
Yeah it did at Blizzcon too, not sure what it is about this song specifically
That’s just muse in general, they’re amazing on the records but their live shows are just epic
@@nickboon1235 Absolutely!
that insect had the best seat :-)
LowLands Pete He must be their biggest fan! 😂
Muse's live performance is always awesome!
shoutout to the aphid on matt's glasses 2:16
IKR!
it's actually there 4 the whole video
plot twist its actually him the lead singer, matt is just a decoy to hide the real master mind
Thank you for giving me the name of that insect
Hey I'm a Green Lacewing ! Aphids are way smaller... your welcome though
The bug on Matt's glasses has the best ever spot for a Muse Gig
That lucky bug!
Would be kind of awkward if it was a human being.
damn they sound good live
despite the boring song
Arguably the best live band ever.
Carl-Fredrik For me it would be Queen > Pink Floid > Muse > Green Day etc
go see then live.
They've been rewarded for being the best live band in the world and having the best live act of the year several times for a reason.
I don't think you guys understand. I saw them live on that night when they played that and it was amazing. The entire damn show was. Undoubtedly the best and loudest concert I've ever seen!
Charlie McMillan I was there too! My ears are still ringing from that show
Charlie McMillan It was so great, wasn't it? And downtown was the most packed I'd ever seen it because of the game.
Totally agree! The first time I heard Dig Down, I wasn't wowed, but after seeing this live performance I love it.
Houston Newsome I thought that the majority of the people downtown were going to the game but I saw tons of people wearing their jerseys in the line that stretched both ways down a city block. It was unbelievably great
Charlie McMillan I also saw lots of preds jerseys at the Amphitheater! It was pretty cool to see Jared Leto sporting a preds jersey
muse is my muse

Me with no mask this time This comment has NOWHERE near enough thumbs up's........

To create music on this level must be out of this world. What that must feel like, must be surreal.
Wasn't the biggest fan of 'Dig Down,' but I must admit that this song is AMAZING LIVE! I loved the visual effects on this, too
yep dig down
I was at this concert. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! In the middle of the concert he walked through the crowd and high fived people and even hugged somebody while he was singing Starlight!
I cant wait for Muse and Royal Blood albums ahhhhh
And Stone Sour, of course
Easily the best concert I've ever been to. I finally feel reinvigorated and centered again. Thanks Muse!
what an awesome musical experience to have been there live. I may have been far in the back on one of those rental chairs, but it was still the best musical experience I've had in my life. the background graphics were phenomenal.
The lyrics of this song are wonderful!
Andrew S How so?
Andrew S Well, not quite preached. They've said that the don't aim to preach. I'm not sure taking a polite photo with a politician is quite a complete moral transformation but I see where you're coming from.
+Andrew S You're freaking right ! No one could have said it better !
(Timmy Mynning) I've never heard him mention Noam Chomsky. In fact, if I did I would never listen to Muse again. This is a man (Chomsky) who (although a great linguist) has stated there is NEVER a need for a military. Educated idiot. (And I was there that night and it rocked.)

live is much better than the studio version

AkumaTF . 8 d
its an okay song, but Muse was always better with their live performances. Like Follow Me. This Song is a bomb live, but on the album, its just there.
NarutoOnline News I agree
I don’t get how you can hate on this song! I love it
Was there for this show. The song is definitely better as a live track.
I have been waiting for a song that is basically saying you can get through it all and from hearing that it slowly helps me through stress and pain in my life and I would just like to say thank you muse for doing this my wish is to see you all someday....I hope it happens xoxoxo
THEY STILL ROCK
This was my first concert and it could not have been better! OMG they were amazing!
Better in live
Maxime Roedel as always with Muse :D
You can always distinguish how good musicians are by their live performances. Muse consistently sounds so much better and more interesting than what they recorded in a studio.
True! Muse always better in live! Cheers!
Hear hear!
Chris is such an amazing vocal too... They make perfect harmony
Awesome performance boys! This song has grown on me SO much!
one of my favourites songs of one of my favourites groups!!!!

When you question if you are listening to a recording versus a live performance, that's the excellence of muse..
come on shit 2017 may 12
The sound, the lighting, the crowds...Muse have lots of elements for great performance, bravo
LOL at the bug on Matts' glasses 2:14
tzouzi horror movie xD
Lucky bug made me jealous
Can we just appreciate how cool their show looks live even though it's the "chill outdoor" tour
Hope see you guys one day! 😘
Raquel Oliveira I know right they're so awesome💜💛❤💚💙

Dom doing his best to have fun.
Find a way. This is the message. Beautiful seeing it live.
The best thing about Muse audience is that most really wanna immerse themselves in the music in that moment. Few people are recording with their phones.
One of the best shows ever! Thanks MUSE for coming to Charlotte NC!
Even if I only heard this song by the voice only, I would certainly know it's my Muse..

Matt Bellamy is one hell of a music genius. One of a kind. Muse is the best band.
We are huge MUSE fans. Big influence us. The live version is so powerful!
Always amazes me how Matt can sing and play the guitar flawlessly at the same time
this is my religion
They sound so perfect
Perfect song to open their set! They blew us away again. Amazing band live, and the whole concert was stellar from opening to close!
