It is April 2024 and Chevrolet inventory at the dealership I work for, Schumacher Chevrolet of Livingston, is still a little light. We mostly have Trax and Trailblazer but all other models like Colorado, Tahoe, Suburban are harder to get.

The fact that Trax are selling well suggests that buyers are looking for affordable cars.
And I think the new Trax is much more appealing than the old one!
And why Scary Mary extended the production run of the Bolt. As much as they wanted to sell their overpriced EV's instead they just ended up rotting on the lots. Just make sure it does not have the data harvesting center stack like the Blazer EV that ditched AA and car play. They already got caught selling driver habits to third party which handed that data over to insurance companies. You guessed it, premiums blew up.
I based my entire decision to buy one for the 25k

It seems this is a well-run dealership. and appears you are not gouging the customer and want them to return. also, inventory is moving in and out at a smooth pace also a good sign keep up the good work. Chevys product line looks good .

I'm currently not looking for a car but was shocked at the price of the Traxx. Finally an affordable car. Not everyone wants to spend 40 or 50k for a work commuter. Nice job Chevy. Didn't know they were such a good deal for the money.
I absolutely love the styling of the Blazer. With the incentives, the price is attractive too.
You should do a video of the Colorado with some people looking to either downsize from full size or buy a truck that isn't as pricey as a Silverado. Show people what they would be giving up in terms of size, storage, features, and leg room in the back seats.

Don't be disappointed if the Blazer EV setlles into fewer sales than the Bolt. It's much more expensive even after price cuts and the midsize crossover is the most saturated part of the EV market where the Bolt had a niche to itself.
I should have bought the Camry, it would be a perfect run around car. $5,500 is a great deal.
I really like the Blazer EV but the fact that GM decided to get rid of CarPlay made up my mind to cancel my reservation.
Gotta go Android!
I hope Chevy and GM realize not having CarPlay is a huge mistake sooner than later. I won’t buy a car without it.

EVs are too expensive to purchase and insure, sales are dropping, and the charging infrastructure sucks. Not for me. Thank you. 😊
@@Livingthedream157 A) they are not too expensive. There are several options that have starting prices below 40k before tax incentives. B) they are not expensive to insure. I have two cars. A Mach E & a Mazda 3. The Mazda is 10 years old & is more expensive to insure than the Mach E and C) EV sales are actually up 46% year over year. This is something that had been stated over & over unless you only listen to one sided news.

Hey Dave, do you have any information on when the refreshed 2025 Tahoe’s may be opening for custom ordering. My mom is dead set on getting one and we want to have her be one of the first to place her orders because we want to try and have it by the end of the year. I read online it’s expected to go on sale around that time with orders starting middle of the year. However, we are getting close to mid year in June so I was wondering if it’s opening any time soon so we can jump on getting one built.
Dave whats your opinion on these new 3 and 4 cylinder turbo engines. I worry about the reliability being someone whos used to the 5.3L and 6 cylinders etc
Why only one ICE Blazer on the lot? Is it because of lack of interest or just hard to get? Just wondering. Love the videos.

I’d like to see plugin hybrids. We’ve had our Volt since Oct 2016 and drive it mostly on electric. We also have a 2019 Bolt and the combo of the two is perfect for us. I’d like to see an EV Trax.
Think we just got like 7 Colorados and 4 EV blazers in. I have sales asking every other day to show my Colorado zr2. Helping generate orders for them.
That Blazer EV looks great, thanks for the highlights! Can't wait to see your review of the Equinox EV when you get them in as well as your Silverado EV when it arrives! My local dealer has 4 Equinox EV's in transit and they're hoping they'll show up in the next 3-4 weeks. I think 2 are spoken for.
I'm anxious to see if GM is serious about bringing PHEV's back because they really are the best of both worlds and I wish they hadn't given up on them so soon. I love what I see with the Blazer EV and Equinox EV, but I'm not 100% sure if I'm ready to give up the PHEV drivetrain in my beloved Volt, especially since we just swapped my wife's Volt for a Bolt EUV so we'd have no gas backup at all then.

What information can you gather from the license plate? Unless you work for an insurance company or law enforcement agency, I guess you could run the plates, but I will see the plates when I arrive.
So, the blazer EV is 42+ and do you get the 4k from the state as well? Bringing it 38+? I do love my Bolt EUV

No extra 4k in NJ at the moment.. Program ended in 2023

Those Trax will be gone by month end. Always a good idea to have single cab work trucks on hand, it could save contractors in a pinch.

If GM could get a Trax Hybrid's base MSRP at or under $25k and match the Corolla Cross hybrid's 45mpg, you personally would sell a dozen on a slow week.

Yes, the plate is registered to the owner so whoever buys this Toyota will have to get new plates and I will take the current plates off and return to DMV
GOOD job wish I had the money but on disability would be great 4 me so my mom could have a car here when I go out. I MIGHT be able to get to the dealership on Sunday today to look at the new short bed work truck.😂

@@DaveBsellsChevy I have a feeling that so many people that purchased vehicles over the last few years are deeply underwater in their loans. They are unable to clear the last car loan without writing a big check.
its nice to help people in need but in my opinion its too soon to let it go for 5.5k. you can hold out for 6+

Why block out the license plate? People see your license plate everyday and I am not sure what they would do with it
can find personal info from someone’s license plate if you know where to look, also especially with pictures online Someone could be searching marketplace for your exact make/model car because they have one very similar , take the picture of your plate, print the pic life-size, laminate it, and use it as their own plate which is obviously something you’d want to avoid
OK, so why not just go to a parking lot and find many?

easier to go online and search for the exact year/make/model so if you’re using it as your own plate , say if police run the plate it’ll bring back the same car but your information rather than the thieve’s.. and you’re making it convenient by already providing photos and they dont have to risk looking suspicious in public

People that cover the license plate have never made sense to me. You do realize anyone in public can see the license plate. There’s no expectation of privacy on a license plate and you can’t get any personal information from a license plate.
Good question but I would like DBs professional opinion on this debate of obscuring a plate on internet ads. My opinion is better safe than sorry.
@@TwilightZoneX I tend to be very cautious in life but covering the plate never made sense to me. On most ads people put what city they are located in so basically the only information someone could get from a license plate would be the state.

GM SHOULD BRING A HYBRID INTO THE MARKET . EV IS NOT FOR EVERYONE JUST YET . INFRASTRUCTURE ISNT IN PLACE YET . WILL TAKE MORE TIME .
Imagine how idiotic the higher ups at GM are....they get rid of Apple Car Play and Android Auto because "its buggy and unreliable." Total screw up imho

The new EV's will not have apple carplay but are an android based system with 3 years of data included so the owner can just download the apps they like to the screen and their phone will still connect for bluetooth calls and music streaming.
@@DaveBsellsChevy You can't connect your phone using AA or carplay. That's the whole point Dave and why its such a deal breaker with many buyers. People want to connect their phones to car. Like I said, people need to boycott the Blazer hard core to send a message. Tell Mary Barra it stops here. I could care less if it offered 10 years free data. I don't trust GM with my data. And neither should anyone else. They already got caught selling that and are in class action because many got their insurance premiums hiked up. Because that's who paid for the driving data (insurance). Mary will do anything to make a buck to this hedge fund driven company. She works for stockholders NOT the ones that buy GM cars and trucks. Facts.

The EV Blazer has given me a lot of problems. I would definitely not recommend this vehicle. I had to get rid of it. I have bought Chevy’s for over 30 years but I am very disappointed in the quality lately. I trust your insight but I have to disagree with you on this one.

@@DaveBsellsChevy Software stack. Its documented online and easy to research. Many bugs on the new infotainment with blank screens and failed charging sessions to name a few. Don't act so naive DAVE. The problem was so severe they ordered a stop sell of the blazer EV on DEC 22. Are you going to say you didn't know about that? You got a strong brew of koolaid dave.

Just offering what is available to the public while using my personal experience with EV's to show how it can work out very well... all depends on personal situations.

@@doggy911 First off, you have to be a home owner with a level two charger for this to be even doable. Mainly because the infrastructure is half baked. And Li-on technology is crap at best. Panasonic knew this with their first application of that 25 years ago. Toyota is the smart ones putting their investments in hybrid.

Just a warning. The Blazer EV axed car play and android auto. Instead GM uses their own software integration and will collect all your data and send back to GM. Currently they are in class action lawsuit for selling driver habits to third party companies that turned that information over to insurance companies. Many people saw their premiums skyrocket with this. It was layered deep in the fine print and took many buyers off guard. Initially the Blazer EV had horrible SW glitches. Not sure if GM fixed those issues yet. Consumers need to overwhelmingly reject this and send a message to scary Mary and friends. GM is nothing but a hedge fund driven company. They don't give two shits about you or your privacy. They will sell that info at a drop of the hat and have. If you don't care about your rates going up then consider the possible ramifications of warranty repairs being denied. With this kind of SW integration to the oem there are countless scenarios where the customer can be put at a disadvantage to the oem.
The Blazer system is Android based through "Google built in"
@@DaveBsellsChevy Has google search but entire system is integrated with car and GM. There is a ton of data that is collected and sent back to GM. This has already been confirmed at Nauseam. People need to be informed that AA and Car play are NOT offered with the new Blazer. And what I said about them selling driver habits to insurance companies is FACT. People need to be informed of that and make their own decisions.
@@HiPlains1 Pretty much the same story with every company including the one you use for a cell phone provider. Our info is everywhere whether we like it or not. Snowden warned us.

Plus people love their AA and Car play. Hate to see somebody buy this and find out after the fact that it does not have it. At this point people just assume it does. The Blazer is one of the first to axe it. So it would be understandable how it would be overlooked.

Depends on the car. If you are buying a Tesla Plaid you are not buying it for savings... If you bought a Bolt EUV you saved a bunch plus currently about a 3rd the price of gas to charge at home.
@@DaveBsellsChevy Which is why its half baked because many don't own homes and have no access to level two chargers. And public infrastructure is half baked at this point with half the chargers not even working. Its a mess. Insurance is much higher because repair costs are insanely high. Also Li-on batteries add allot of weight to vehicle. Think new tires twice as often. And the amount of C02 put out to make the battery pack means you have to drive it 36K miles before you have any gain to the environment. Hybrid is the answer in the interim. EV is a gimmick that the current administration bought into hook line and sinker and the oems are all scrambling trying to figure out how to make it work. Now Ford is shutting their EV plants down and backpedaling to hybrid. Toyota knew all along and their profit margins show that.

Please push for GM to add back CarPlay to their new EVs… It ridiculous that they don’t have them anymore when their gas cars have them. That is a feature that people _want_ regardless of what GM says. I was going to upgrade my gas Blazer to the EV one, but once I found out it had no CarPlay, that was an easy pass for me.
